Overview
Membership benefits in RepeatMD do not automatically apply to newly added treatments. When you add a treatment to your shop, you must manually assign it to the relevant membership benefit groups so member discounts display correctly and both member and non-member pricing appear in the app.
This article is for practice owners, managers, and admins who manage membership catalogs and need to troubleshoot pricing visibility for members and non-members.
Before You Start
You must have Marketing, Manager, or Administrator permissions to edit memberships.
Open Memberships from the Catalog -> Services section of the left-side navigation.
New treatments must already exist in your shop before you can add them to a membership. See Create and Manage Treatments (Admin Panel) if you need to add the treatment first.
Under Edit for new & existing members, the Included Treatments field is greyed out and cannot be edited on the admin panel. To add or change included treatments for existing members, email services@repeatmd.com.
You can add or change included treatments freely using Edit for new members only, which creates a new membership version for future enrollments without altering existing member agreements.
Why It Matters
Correct membership pricing in the app helps you:
Show transparent pricing so patients see both member and non-member rates before they book or purchase.
Protect member value by ensuring enrolled patients receive the discounts they signed up for.
Avoid front-desk confusion when in-app prices do not match what your team quotes in the office.
Prevent revenue leakage from treatments that should carry a member discount but were never assigned to a membership benefit.
How It Works
New treatments are not auto-assigned. RepeatMD does not automatically link new treatments to existing memberships. Each time you add a treatment to your catalog, repeat the membership assignment steps in this article for every membership that should include it.
Member pricing lives in membership benefits. To display member pricing for a treatment, add the treatment to the correct membership benefit group (included treatments or member discount benefits, depending on your membership structure).
Active vs. archived membership versions. When you use Edit for new members only, RepeatMD creates a new active version and moves the previous version to Archived. Existing members stay on the archived (legacy) version with their original terms. Pricing updates you make on the active version do not automatically apply to members still enrolled on the archived version. Those members continue to see pricing tied to their legacy version until you update that version or they re-enroll in the active membership.
Included treatments for existing members. Changing which treatments are included for patients already enrolled requires a 30-day advance notification. RepeatMD locks Included Treatments on the Edit for new & existing members path and handles these updates through Services at services@repeatmd.com.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Add a new treatment to membership benefits (new enrollments)
Use this path when you want future members to see member pricing for a newly added treatment without changing terms for patients already enrolled.
Log in to your Admin Panel.
Click Memberships in the Catalog -> Services section of the left-side navigation.
Find the membership you want to update.
Click the three-dot menu and select Edit Membership.
Choose Edit for new members only.
Navigate to the Included Treatments or Member Benefits section (depending on how your membership is structured).
Add the new treatment to the relevant benefit group.
Save your changes.
The updated membership appears under Available. The previous version moves to Archived. New enrollments see the updated pricing; existing members remain on the archived version.
Add a treatment for existing and new members
If you need a new treatment added to Included Treatments for patients already enrolled, you cannot do this directly on the admin panel.
Email services@repeatmd.com with:
Membership name
Treatment(s) to add
Whether the change should apply to existing members or new enrollments only
RepeatMD Services will confirm the 30-day notification plan (if the change affects existing members) and apply the update once the notice window is complete.
Troubleshoot pricing that does not appear correctly
If member pricing is missing or stale in the app, work through these checks:
Confirm the treatment is assigned to the membership. Open the membership editor and verify the treatment appears in the correct benefit group.
Check whether the patient is on an archived version. Review the patient’s profile and membership details. If they enrolled before a Edit for new members only update, they are on the archived (legacy) version.
Update pricing on the correct version. If affected members are on an archived version, either:
Edit the archived membership version so those members see the correct pricing, or
Ask those members to cancel their current membership and re-enroll in the active version.
Refresh the app after saving admin changes to confirm pricing has propagated.
Best Practices and Pro Tips
Assign every new treatment at launch. Build membership updates into your treatment launch checklist so member pricing is never an afterthought.
Default to Edit for new members only when changing included treatments or pricing structure, unless you have a specific reason to affect existing members (and have coordinated with Services).
Document legacy versions. When you create a new membership version, note which patients remain on the archived version so your front desk can answer pricing questions accurately.
Verify in the patient app. After any membership pricing change, spot-check the treatment in the app as both a member and a non-member.
Coordinate with Services early. If you need included-treatment changes for existing members, start the services@repeatmd.com request well before your target go-live date to allow for the 30-day notice window.
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: I added a new treatment but members do not see a member price. Why?
A: New treatments are not automatically linked to memberships. You must add the treatment to the relevant membership benefit group. If members still do not see updated pricing, confirm they are enrolled on the membership version where you made the change (active vs. archived).
Q: Why do some members see old pricing after I updated the membership?
A: Those members are likely still enrolled on an archived (legacy) version created by a previous Edit for new members only update. Pricing changes on the active version do not flow to archived versions. Update the archived version directly or have those members re-enroll in the active membership.
Q: Why is Included Treatments greyed out when I edit a membership?
A: Under Edit for new & existing members, Included Treatments is locked because changes to included treatments for existing members require a 30-day advance notification. Email services@repeatmd.com to request the change, or use Edit for new members only if the change should apply to future enrollments only.
Q: Do I need to repeat this for every membership?
A: Yes. If a treatment should carry a member discount across multiple memberships, add it to each relevant membership’s benefit groups individually.
Q: Can I change member discount percentages for existing members on the admin panel?
A: Non-treatment member benefits (such as percentage discounts on product categories) can often be edited under Edit for new & existing members. Changes to Included Treatments, Price, and Commitment Period for existing members require Services. See Edit a membership (Admin Panel) for the full locked-field list.
