Overview

This guide walks you through how to create a new treatment in your Admin Panel. It’s designed for practice owners, managers, and admins responsible for building or updating the shop experience in the app. By the end, you’ll know how to set up treatment details, pricing, variations, concerns, and optional pre- and post-care instructions.

This guide can be particularly useful for adding specialized treatment types, to your app (ex: laser hair removal).

Before You Start

  • You must have Admin or App Builder permissions.

  • Decide which locations will offer this treatment.

  • If you plan to add treatment variations or bundled pricing, gather those details before beginning.

  • Pre- and post-care instructions are optional but help improve patient expectations and reduce follow-up questions.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Create the treatment

Log in to your Admin Panel and go to Catalog → Services and upload your service menu if you haven't already. The AI will scan your files and create draft treatments pre-filled with:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Price

  • Concern tags

  • Body area tags

  • Image

Once the upload completes, your drafts will appear in Catalog → Services. Open any draft to review and complete the remaining fields before publishing.

Add basic treatment details

  1. Confirm the treatment name

This is what patients see in your app. Update it to match exactly how your practice refers to the service.

  2. Set locations

Choose which locations this treatment is available at.

  3. Set the unit type

Choose how the treatment is measured and purchased — for example, unit, treatment, session, or syringe. This controls how quantities display at checkout.

Add treatment variations (optional)

Variations allow you to create one master treatment with multiple options such as tiers, body areas, or intensities. For instance, in the case of Laser Hair Removal, you can define each bodily area (e.g., small, medium, large) as a variant under a single master treatment. This provides flexibility to cater to patient preferences more effectively and simplifies the selection process.

  1. Click + Add Treatment Variation.

    • Add a Variation Name.

    • Enter the Price per 1 unit.

    • Set the Max Quantity a patient can purchase.

    • Add a Variation Description.

  2. Repeat as needed for additional variations.

Examples: HydraFacial tiers (Signature, Deluxe, Platinum) or Laser Hair Removal by body area. Additionally, for Laser Hair Removal treatments, clinics can define treatable areas such as small, medium, and large as separate variants. This structure allows patients to select specific areas they wish to target, enhancing their shopping experience within the app.

Set pricing

  1. Verify the price

The uploader fills in the price from your menu — verify it's correct before publishing.

  2. Set the maximum quantity

The maximum number of units or sessions a patient can purchase in a single transaction.

  3. Choose a pricing method

This controls how quantities are presented to patients at checkout:

    • Individual prices — patients select a quantity (1, 2, 3…) and the price scales accordingly. Best for treatments sold one session at a time.

    • Bundled pricing — you define set bundles for specific quantities. Best for treatments patients commonly buy in sets, like a series of laser sessions, where you want to offer a per-session discount for buying more upfront.

Variations vs. bundled pricing: Use variations when the treatment itself differs — different area, tier, or intensity. Use bundled pricing when it's the same treatment sold in different quantities at different per-unit rates.

Add images and descriptions

  1. Review the image

The uploader assigns an image. Replace it with your own photo if you want to show real results or use branded imagery from your practice.

  2. Review the description

The uploader generates a description of the treatment — this is what patients read when browsing. Edit it to match your practice's tone or add specific details the AI may have missed.

Add concerns and body areas

  1. Review and adjust concerns

Concerns are the patient issues this treatment addresses — for example, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, or volume loss. These determine when the treatment surfaces in recommendations. The uploader pre-fills these — review and adjust as needed.

  2. Review and adjust body areas

The areas of the face or body this treatment targets. The uploader pre-fills these — review and adjust as needed.

Add optional pre- and post-care instructions

  1. Toggle Pre & Post-Care Instructions to On if you want to add expectation cards.

  2. Click Add Treatment Instruction.

    • Add an Instruction Name (e.g., Skincare Prep, Before Your Appointment).

    • Add an Instruction Description to guide patients before or after their visit.

    • Click Save Treatment Instruction after each card.

Patients can view expectation cards in their Account > Purchase History, their Available Treatments, or directly within the treatment page before purchasing.

Publish

When all required fields are complete, save to publish. The treatment goes live as Active and is immediately available in your app.

Deleted drafts cannot be recovered. If you're not ready to publish, save the draft and return to it later — don't delete it unless you're certain you won't need it.

How It Works

  • Treatments created in the Admin Panel appear in the app immediately unless restricted by location or eligibility settings.

  • Variations allow you to offer multiple priced options under one treatment, simplifying the patient’s shopping experience.

  • Individual or bundled pricing determines how quantities display and how patients calculate savings.

  • Pre- and post-care instructions surface in the app wherever the treatment appears, helping set expectations and improving preparedness before treatment.
