How to Set Up UTM Tracking in Ageless AI

Track which campaigns, channels, and placements are driving patients to your Ageless experience.

Updated this week

Overview

UTMs are short tracking tags added to the end of a URL. When a patient clicks a UTM link and goes through the flow, Ageless AI records where they came from, which campaign brought them, and how they were reached — organic post, paid ad, email, or otherwise.

Instead of building these links manually, Ageless AI's built-in link builder generates them for you. Choose where you're posting, how you're sharing it, and name your campaign.

Why This Matters

Without UTM tracking, you know patients are completing visualizations — but not what drove them there. You can't tell whether Instagram is outperforming email, whether paid ads are converting better than organic posts, or which specific campaign is responsible for your best leads.

UTM tracking closes that gap.

  • Know which channels are actually working. See exactly which platforms are driving visualizations and leads — not just clicks. Stop funding channels that don't convert.

  • Compare organic vs. paid on the same platform. An Instagram post and an Instagram ad are different. UTMs let you measure them separately, so you know where your budget is earning its return.

  • Track campaign-specific performance. Running a seasonal promotion or a treatment-specific push? Give it its own UTM link and see exactly how it performed, separate from your baseline activity.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Log in to your Ageless admin panel and navigate to the Marketing tab.

  2. Choose the link you want to track — Aesthetics, Wellness, or both — then select the Targeted Link button. If your practice offers both, create separate links for each so you can track which one performs better on each channel.

  3. Select where you're posting the link. (Instagram, Facebook, email, TikTok)

  4. Select how you're sharing it. (Organic post, Paid ad, Story)

  5. Add a campaign name. Use a descriptive name you'll recognize in your reports — for example: "spring-botox-promo" or "glp1-instagram-april."

  6. Copy the generated link and drop it into the relevant channel.

What Ageless AI is tracking

Each generated link captures three key parameters:

Parameter

What It Tracks

Example

Source

Where the patient came from

Medium

How they were reached

organic, paid, story

Campaign

Which specific campaign drove the click

spring-botox-promo, glp1-april

Best Practices

  • Create a separate link for each channel. Don't share the same UTM link on Instagram and Facebook. Mixed traffic means you can't tell which platform drove the result.

  • Separate organic from paid on the same platform. An organic Instagram post and a paid Instagram ad serve different purposes and reach different audiences. Track them separately or you lose the ability to compare them.

  • Use consistent, descriptive campaign names. "Campaign1" tells you nothing in three months. "march-fillers" tells you everything. Decide on a naming format and stick to it across your team.

  • Name campaigns before you launch, not after. UTMs capture data from the moment the link is live. You can't retroactively apply tracking to clicks that already happened.

FAQs

Q: What's the difference between a UTM link and my regular Ageless link?

Your regular Ageless link takes patients to the experience but records no source information. A UTM link does the same thing, but also tells Ageless AI where the patient came from and which campaign sent them. The patient experience is identical either way.

Q: Can I create multiple trackable links?

Yes. Create as many as you need — one per channel, one per campaign, or one per content variation. Each link tracks independently.

Q: I'm running the same campaign across multiple channels. Do I need separate links for each?

Yes. Create one link per channel, each with the same campaign name but a different source and medium. That way you can see the campaign's total performance and how each channel contributed to it.

Q: Where do I see results from my UTM links?

Inside your Ageless admin panel under the Home tab. Results are broken down by source, medium, and campaign name.
