Setting Up Your Services Catalog

How to create and manage your treatments, packages, and memberships

Updated this week

Overview

Your services catalog is where you manage everything patients can see, book, and purchase in your app — treatments, packages, and memberships. The fastest way to build it out is by uploading your existing service menu and letting AI generate your catalog items automatically as drafts. From there, you review, edit, and publish what's ready.

Building Your Catalog with the Menu Uploader

Instead of creating items one by one, upload your service menu and AI builds your catalog for you. The uploader reads your files, identifies your services, and creates draft catalog items — complete with names, descriptions, pricing, tags, and images — ready for you to review before anything goes live.

  1. Go to Catalog → Services

Find the menu upload option at the top of the Services section.

  2. Upload your service menu

Drag and drop or browse to select your files. You can upload multiple files at once — a treatment menu, a membership brochure, and a package list all in one go.

  3. AI reviews your files and creates drafts

The AI scans your uploaded content, identifies supported services, and generates draft catalog items automatically. Every generated item comes in as a Draft — nothing is published until you approve it.

  4. Review and edit each draft

Go through the generated items and confirm each one looks right. Update any details that don't match how your practice describes or prices the service. See the fields section below for guidance on what each field does.

  5. Publish when ready

Once an item has all required fields filled in, publish it as Active. It immediately becomes visible and available in your patient app. Items you're not ready for stay as drafts.

What the AI Generates Automatically

Every item created from a menu upload includes the following fields pre-filled:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Pricing

  • Concern tags

  • Body area tags

  • Image

Review all of these before publishing — the AI does its best from the content you provide, but pricing in particular should be verified against your actual rates.

How Packages and Memberships Are Extracted

Not everything in your menu will generate the same item type. The AI applies specific rules for packages and memberships:

What's in your menu

What gets created

A bundled offering with multiple distinct treatments or modalities (e.g., "Glow Package — includes facial + LED + peel")

Package

Multiple quantities of the same treatment (e.g., "3 Botox sessions for $X")

Treatment bundle — not a package

A membership listed with enough detail — benefits, frequency, pricing structure (e.g., "Gold Membership — $199/mo, includes 1 facial + 10% off all services")

Membership

A sparse membership listing (e.g., "Gold Membership — $199/mo")

Not extracted — not enough information to build accurately

Retail products are not extracted. The menu uploader only identifies services, packages, and memberships. To add retail products to your catalog, use the MyProducts uploader.

Reviewing and Editing Your Drafts

Every AI-generated item lands as a draft. Before publishing, review each item and update anything that needs to be corrected or filled in. Here's what each field does:

Name

The name of the treatment, package, or membership as it will appear in the patient app. Update this to match exactly how your practice refers to the service.

Description

A summary of what the service is and what it does. Patients see this in your app when browsing. Edit it to reflect your practice's voice or add any specific details the AI may have missed.

Price

The price pulled from your uploaded menu. Always verify this matches your current pricing — if your menu has a price range or outdated rates, the AI may not have the most accurate figure.

Concern Tags

The patient concerns this service addresses (e.g., fine lines, hyperpigmentation, volume loss). These tags determine when and where the service appears in treatment recommendations. Add or remove tags to make sure the service surfaces for the right patients.

Body Area Tags

The areas of the face or body this service targets (e.g., forehead, under-eye, jawline, abdomen). Like concern tags, these shape how the service appears in your patient's personalized recommendations.

Image

An image assigned by the AI based on the service type. Replace this with a photo from your practice if you want to show real results or use your own branded imagery.

Status

Draft or Active. Drafts are invisible to patients. Set to Active when all required fields are complete and the item is ready to go live.

Deleted drafts cannot be recovered. If you're not ready to publish an item but don't want to delete it, leave it as a draft. You can always come back and finish it later.

Adding Items Manually

If a service wasn't picked up by the uploader — or you want to create something from scratch — you can add catalog items manually directly in Catalog → Services. Create a new item, fill in the fields, and publish when ready. Manually created items also start as drafts.

FAQs

A service I offer wasn't included in the generated drafts. What do I do?

The AI extracts what it can identify from the uploaded content. If a service is described in shorthand, uses internal naming, or is missing from the file altogether, it may not be picked up. Add it manually in Catalog → Services or re-upload a more complete menu file.

The AI created a package when I wanted individual treatments — or vice versa. Can I change it?

Yes. All generated items are drafts and fully editable before publishing. You can also delete a draft and manually create the item as the correct type.

Why wasn't my membership extracted?

Memberships require enough detail in your uploaded content to be built accurately — at minimum, a clear description of what's included and how it's priced. A line item like "Gold Membership — $199/mo" alone doesn't give the AI enough to work with. Add more detail to your source file or create the membership manually.

Do patients see drafts?

No. Drafts are only visible to your team. Nothing reaches the patient app until you publish an item as Active.

How do I add retail products?

The services uploader does not extract retail products. Use the MyProducts uploader to add retail items to your catalog.
