Create a custom package (Admin Panel)

Learn how to create a custom package that combines multiple treatments into a single offering with one price, helping patients achieve specific goals through your app.

Overview

This article shows you how to create a custom package in your Admin Panel. It’s designed for practice owners, managers, and admins who want to bundle multiple treatments into a single package to address a specific goal, area, or outcome for patients.

Before You Start

  • You must have Admin access with one of the following roles: Marketing, Manager, or Administrator.

  • Packages are a distinct feature in the Admin Panel and live under the Packages section.

  • A package includes multiple different treatments sold together for one price.

  • Packages use a single price per package, not per included treatment.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Upload your menu (recommended)

If your service menu includes bundled offerings, upload it in Catalog → Services first. The AI will extract package drafts automatically when the uploaded content clearly describes a bundled offering with multiple distinct treatments or modalities — for example, "Glow Package — includes facial + LED + peel."

When a package is extracted, the uploader pre-fills:

  • Name

  • Description

  • Price

  • Concern tags

  • Body area tags

  • Images

Packages are only extracted when the uploaded content indicates a bundled offering with multiple modalities or distinct included items.

After the draft is created, you'll still need to verify the included treatments and quantities, set locations and max quantity, and add any optional content before publishing.

Creating a package from scratch? Go to Catalog → Services → Packages and click + Create new package in the bottom right corner of the list. All packages start as Draft until published.

Add package details

  1. Confirm the package name

This is what patients see in your app. Use an outcome-focused name that tells patients what they'll achieve rather than just listing the treatments inside — patients respond better to names like "Skin Rejuvenation" than "Facial + Peel + LED."

  2. Set locations

Choose whether this package is available at all locations or specific ones only. The uploader doesn't fill this in — you need to set it manually before publishing.

  3. Verify the price

Packages use a single price for the whole bundle — not per included treatment. The uploader fills this in from your menu. Verify it matches your current pricing before publishing.

  4. Set the maximum quantity

The maximum number of packages a patient can purchase at one time. The uploader doesn't fill this in.

Add images and description

  1. Review the image

The uploader assigns images based on the package content. Replace them with your own imagery if you want to show real results or use branded photos from your practice.

  2. Review the description

The uploader generates a description of what's included and who the package is for. This is what patients read when deciding whether to purchase — make sure it's clear and accurate before publishing.

Set concerns and body areas

  1. Review and adjust concerns

    1. These help patients find your package while browsing. The uploader pre-fills these. Add or remove tags as needed.

    2. Custom concerns cannot be added at this time.

    3. Packages don't appear as upsells under individual treatments — they're discoverable only through search and browse.

  2. Review and adjust Body Areas.

    1. The body areas this package targets. Review and adjust the auto-filled selections as needed.

Configure included treatments

  1. Click Select Treatment.

  2. Search for and select a treatment from the list.

  3. Enter the quantity included in the package.

  4. Click Save treatment.

  5. Repeat these steps to add additional treatments.

Add a package-only item (optional)

If you want to include something that should not appear in your shop (such as retail credit or a gift with purchase):

  1. Click Select Treatment, then choose + Create a new treatment.

  2. Enter the required details.

  3. Click Save and add to package treatments.

Note: This creates a package-only item

Add pre- and post-care instructions (optional)

  1. Toggle Pre & Post-Care Instructions to On.

  2. Click Add treatment instructions.

  3. Enter an Instruction Name (for example, “Before Your Appointment”).

  4. Add the Instruction Description.

  5. Click Save treatment instruction.

  6. Repeat as needed.

Pre- and post-care instructions are package-level only and appear both before and after purchase in the app.

Publish the package

  1. Review all details.

  2. Click Save Package

The package publishes as Active and is immediately available in your patient app.

Archiving vs. deleting: Archiving a package hides it from the app but does not affect packages patients have already purchased. Deleted drafts cannot be recovered.

How It Works

  • Packages bundle multiple treatments together under one listing.

  • Each package has a single price, regardless of the number of treatments included.

  • Patients can select how many packages to purchase, up to the max quantity you set.

  • Packages are filtered by concerns and body areas but do not appear as upsells under individual treatments.

  • Edits to packages mirror treatment behavior and apply immediately in the app.

  • Archiving a package hides it from the app but does not affect previously purchased packages.

FAQs / Troubleshooting

Can I edit a package after it’s published?

Yes. Packages can be edited at any time, and updates apply immediately.

Does editing a package affect existing purchases?

No. Edits only affect future purchases.

Can packages be discounted or bundled like treatments?

No. Packages have one set price and do not use bundled pricing logic.

Where do patients see pre- and post-care instructions?

Instructions appear on the package page before purchase and in the patient’s account after purchase.

Can I limit how many packages a patient buys at once?

Yes. You can set a maximum quantity per purchase.
