Hide Shop Items from your Patient App

Sell items privately — without listing the item in your public shop.

Overview

Hiding shop items lets you keep a shop item active and purchasable while removing it from your public shop experience. Unlisted items do not appear in your shop browse, categories, search results, or featured sections. Anyone with the direct link can still view the item and complete a purchase.

Use this when you want to sell something selectively — not to everyone browsing your shop.

Why use unlisted items?

Unlisted visibility gives you more control over who sees what you're selling and when.

Offer exclusive access. Share a direct link with VIP patients, loyalty members, or a private email list without exposing the offer to your entire shop.

Run targeted campaigns. Send a specific product or package to patients from a text, email, or social post. Only people who receive the link will see it.

Test before you launch. Build out a product page, confirm pricing and images, and share it internally or with a small group before making it visible to everyone in your shop.

Keep seasonal or limited offers off the shelf. Run flash sales or limited inventory offers for a select audience without cluttering your main shop catalog.

How to hide an item from your shop

  1. In your admin panel, go to the shop item you want to update (for example, Services -> Treatments, Packages, or Memberships, or MyProducts, depending on what you're selling).

  2. Click the 3 dots next to the item and click edit.

  3. Find the setting labeled Hide from the shop (unlisted).

  4. Check the box to keep the item out of your public shop.

  5. Save your changes.

When this setting is enabled, the item stays live — it just won't show up when patients browse your shop.

To make the item visible in your shop again, uncheck Hide from the shop and save.

How to share an unlisted item

After saving an unlisted item, copy its direct link from there and share it wherever your audience is:

  • Text messages

  • Email campaigns

  • Social media DMs

  • Post-consultation follow-ups

Patients who open the link will see the full product page and can purchase as usual.

Unlisted vs. other visibility settings

  • Hide from the shop (unlisted): Hidden from browse, still purchasable via direct link.

  • Out of stock: Visible in shop (depending on your settings) but not available to purchase.

  • Draft / not published: Not live and not accessible to patients.

Unlisted is not the same as deleting or archiving an item. The item remains active — it's simply hidden from public discovery in your shop.

Best Practices

  • Pair unlisted items with targeted outreach. Unlisted items work best when you have a clear plan for sharing the link — a campaign, consult follow-up, or member-only offer.

  • Double-check before sending. Open the link in a private/incognito browser window to confirm the page looks right before sharing it widely.

  • Use clear naming internally. Because unlisted items won't appear in your shop, give them descriptive names in Admin so your team can find them quickly.

FAQs

Can patients still buy an unlisted item?

Yes. If the item is active and in stock, patients with the direct link can view and purchase it normally.

How do I make an unlisted item public again?

Edit the item, uncheck Hide from the shop, and save. It will appear in your shop based on your other visibility and stock settings.

How is unlisted different from out of stock, archived, or draft?
Unlisted is live and purchasable via link, just hidden from browse. Out of stock is visible (depending on your settings) but not purchasable. Draft or not published isn't live to patients at all. Unlisting doesn't delete or deactivate the item.

Do promos and rewards work on unlisted items?
Yes. Hiding an item from your shop only removes it from browse, search, and categories. If a promotion or reward is configured to apply to that item, it will still apply when a patient opens the direct link and checks out. Patients just won't discover the deal by browsing your shop — they'll see it on the item page itself or at checkout.
