Explore the Patient App layout (Patient App)

Learn how the Home, Discover, Shop, Rewards, and Wallet tabs work in your practice’s Patient App.

Overview

Your practice’s Patient App is organized into tabs that guide patients from discovery to purchase. Home showcases your branding and top offers. Discover drives actions like reviews and education. Shop lists memberships, treatments, and packages. Rewards tracks loyalty progress and referrals.

This article is for practice owners and staff who want to understand what patients see — and for patients learning the app layout.

Before You Start

  • Tab availability depends on your plan tier and Admin Panel configuration. Lite plans do not include Shop or Memberships.

  • Branding (color, logo, hero image, hero copy) is configured in the Admin Panel.

  • Some features (RepeatCash, Affirm, Discover cards) require enabling in your account settings.

Why It Matters

Understanding the layout helps you:

  • Coach patients at the front desk on where to find rewards, shop, and check in.

  • Configure Admin Panel content that maps to each tab (hero image, Discover cards, catalog order).

  • Set expectations on upsell behavior (membership savings, package recommendations, bundled pricing).

How It Works

Home

The first screen patients see after login. Designed with shoppable elements to guide purchases.

  • Branding: Color, logo, hero image, and hero copy — editable in the Admin Panel.

  • Memberships carousel: Order configured in Admin Panel; consistent across the app.

  • Special offers: Populated from your active promotions.

Discover

Rewards

Tracks loyalty progress and referral activity.

Earning rewards: Patients earn through check-ins and in-app purchases. Progress is tracked in dollars based on your visit value setting (Admin Panel).

RepeatCash: Patients can convert unlocked rewards into dollars for future purchases. See Set up and manage RepeatCash (Admin Panel) and Convert rewards into RepeatCash (Patient App).

Redemption options: In-app purchase, in-office scan, or RepeatCash conversion.

Upcoming rewards teaser: Shows progress toward the next unlock.

Refer a friend: Patients share a referral link. The referred friend unlocks a sign-up reward. The referring patient does not currently receive a reward for referring — only the new patient benefits.

Best Practices and Pro Tips

  • Walk new patients through Home and Rewards at check-in so they see their sign-up bonus.

  • Keep Discover cards current — stale cards reduce engagement.

  • Order Shop catalog intentionally — concern tags and display order affect what patients find first.

  • Tell patients about RepeatCash if enabled — it increases reward redemption rates.

Common Mistakes and FAQs

Q: Why doesn’t the referring patient get a reward?

A: Currently, only the referred friend unlocks a sign-up reward. Referrer rewards are planned for a future update.

Q: A patient can’t see Shop. Why?

A: Shop may not be enabled on your plan (Lite) or account. Confirm with your CEM.

Q: Where do patients check in?

A: By scanning your Internal QR code with the app or phone camera. See Use your RepeatMD QR codes (Admin Panel).

Q: How do patients track reward progress?

A: On the Home screen tracker or the Rewards tab. See Earn, track, and redeem rewards (Patient App).
