Calculating your visit value for your Rewards program
Updated over 8 months ago

Now it's easier than ever for your patients to track and redeem their rewards.

With your Patient Rewards app, your patients can now earn rewards by checking in for their appointments AND making in-app purchases.

Before you start building:

Our goal is to always get patients to convert on your app. So now we need to create a way for check-ins and in-app spend work together to go towards their Reward progress.

💡Pro tip:

Your Visit Value is set up by your CSM during onboarding. They can update it for you at any time upon request.

What is a visit value, why is it important, and how should you calculate the visit value for your practice?

  • The visit value is essentially the dollar amount you want to tie to 1 check-in or 1 patient visit.

  • This is important because it gives your check-ins or visits "weight" to work with in-app spend to progress your patients towards their next Reward.

💡Pro tip:

There are a few factors that come into play when choosing this dollar amount. Your CS will work closely with you to ensure it makes sense for your business.

Next, you need to decide how much money and/or how many "visits" are needed to unlock a reward.

Use the following equation to identify the total dollar amount they need to spend to unlock the next reward:

(visit value) x (# of visits to unlock next reward) = $ amount needed to unlock the reward

Here is an example:

  • Let's say you set your visit value to $400.

  • And you set up your rewards program so your patients need 3 "visits" before they unlock their next reward.

($400 visit value) x (3 visits) = $1,200 spend needed to unlock next reward

(visit value) x (# of visits to unlock next reward) = $ amount needed to unlock the reward

Still with me? Great! Now let me show you how check-ins and in-app purchases work together to progress your patient towards their next Reward:

  1. Your patient visits your practice and checks-in 1 time. In their tracker this is valued at 1 visit or $400 put towards their progress.

  2. On the app, their Reward tracker will read: visit 2 times or spend $800 to unlock your next Reward!

  3. A few days later, your patient makes an in-app purchase worth $800.

  4. When they complete that purchase, your patient will have hit that $1,200 threshold, and will be congratulated on unlocking their reward. 🎉

Now that you have learned how the Reward Program and tracking works, learn what's new for your patients!

When your patient is using your RepeatMD app, they can access their rewards tracker by selecting the Rewards in the bottom navigation.

The Reward screen includes:

Progress tracker:

Patients are tracked by both the number of visits and how much they spend in-app. Their progress is always tracked live at the top of their Rewards screen.

RepeatCash:

Now with RepeatCash every reward is valuable and exciting! Patients can easily convert unlocked rewards into dollars to bank or apply it to their next in-app purchase.

Scan in store:

Now your patients have even more ways to redeem their rewards at your practice. They can access their scanner on the Home page, on their account, or here depending on what is easiest for them.

Upcoming rewards teaser:

With RepeatCash, every reward is valuable to every patient. Showing this transparency will help drive engagement of your rewards program.

Refer a friend:

To drive patient acquisition, patients can share the welcome offer to friends and family.

💡Pro tip:

Right now, the referring patient will not see a reward for referring a friend. Only the friend that was referred will unlock a reward upon sign up. Customizing this experience will change with future updates!
