As of 02/01/2024, Resimplifi is excited to release some added functionality to the Global Search and General Filtering for Associate™.
What is the difference?
Global Search
Global Search is found at the top of the Map Search and Admin Portal views of the application, as seen below:
Global Search can now be used by members to directly search for a listing by doing the following:
Searching by address
Searching by words in title of listing
Searching by words in description or highlights of listing
Searching by listing type or listing status
Note: If the desired listing is found and the user clicks on the listing, the application will immediately open the listing card.
Keyword Search
Keyword Search is found in the filtering tool, which is located in the Map Search section of the application, as seen below:
If a user has a keyword they’d like to conduct a general search with, this would be the place to enter the keyword.
Suppose a user would like to find all the listings related to the keyword “bank,” they would enter this within the field and click Update to conduct that search.
Keyword searches are powerful because you can find all listings, depending on the selected status, based on the keyword that is entered.
Keyword searches are also useful with Saved Searches. Suppose a user is focused on industrial listings that are best equipped for a warehousing application, the user would search using that keyword. Once the view is finalized, they can save the search and access it in a future session.
When should I use Global Search vs Keyword Search?
Global Search
When the address or specific words within title/description are known and user would like to directly access that listing, regardless of status
Example: User searches "Industrial," "Active," and "Warehouse" to find their desired listing.
Keyword Search
User would like to save a specific search with retail buildings that are designed/equipped for a fast food application. User would use “fast food” as their keyword in their desired area. User would then save the search to prevent repeating this task every time.
