Connect your Iterable account so contacts can sync to your email platform automatically.
Before you begin
To send contacts to Iterable, you'll need:
An Iterable API Key (server-side)
A list where contacts should be added
Two segment IDs: an All Contacts Segment ID and a Recent Contacts Segment ID
These segments are required to make sure you don't collect or pay for contacts you already have.
About the required segments
These segments are used to check your existing contacts before adding new ones, so you don't collect or pay for contacts you already have.
1. All Contacts Segment — every contact in your Iterable account that has an email address. Set the rule to: Email is set.
2. Recent Contacts Segment — contacts added in the last 24 hours only, so we can check new contacts without scanning your entire list every time. Set the rule to: Signup Date is within the last 24 hours (now-1d).

Important
Contacts will only start syncing when both your website script is installed and active and your Iterable integration is connected.
Avoid paying for contacts you already have
Your Iterable segments are used to check existing contacts before adding new ones. This helps ensure you don't collect or pay for contacts you already have.
What happens next
Once setup is complete, new contacts will begin appearing in your Iterable list and existing contacts will be automatically excluded.
