What are Special Deadlines and how do they work?
Special Deadlines allow you to temporarily extend or shorten your return, exchange, or complaint deadlines for a specific time period.
This is commonly used for campaigns such as Christmas, Black Friday, or special promotions.

What are Special Deadlines?
Special Deadlines are temporary return deadlines that apply only to orders placed during a defined period.
Example:
You normally have a 14-day return policy.
During Christmas, you want to extend it to 90 days.
You create a Special Deadline:
Duration period: 1 December – 31 December
New deadline: 90 days
All orders placed during that period will automatically receive the 90-day return deadline.
Orders placed outside that period will follow your regular deadline.
What plans include Special Deadlines?
Starter: Not included
Essential: One special deadline per request type
Pro: Unlimited special deadlines per request type
Request types include:
Returns
Exchanges
Complaints
How do Special Deadlines work?
Go to the Returbo app
Navigate to:
Settings → Request settings → GeneralScroll down to Return deadline
Click Add a special deadline
You will then:
Add a name for the deadline
Select the duration period (when it applies)
Choose the deadline length (days, months, or years)
Click Save deadline
All orders placed during the selected duration period will automatically use the special deadline.
Important note for complaints
❗ For complaints, the special complaint deadline must always be at least 1 year, due to consumer protection laws.
Viewing deadlines
In the settings, you can see:
Upcoming deadlines
Active deadlines
Expired deadlines
This helps you manage seasonal policies clearly.
How to edit or delete a Special Deadline
To edit:
Click the ✏️ pen icon next to the deadline
To delete:
Click the 🗑️ trash icon next to the deadline
Changes apply immediately.
