This guide explains what the return policy field in Returbo does, where customers see it, and what to include so it covers everything they need to know.
Where customers see your return policy
In the digital return form, customers can always click to view your return policy. This is helpful in two ways:
If you don't have a return policy on your website, customers can still see your rules before they start a return.
If you already have a policy on your site, this gives customers a clear, easy-to-find version right where they're making their return decision.
Where to set it up in Returbo
Returbo comes with a standard return policy built in, but in most cases, you'll want to customize it to match your store's actual rules.
To find and edit your return policy:
Go to Settings > Customization.
Scroll down to the Return Policy section.
Click Edit in the upper right corner of the box.
Update the text, then click Save changes.
If you serve customers in multiple languages, you'll see a translation for each available language. Make sure to update every translation, not just the default one.
What your return policy should include
To make sure customers have everything they need, your return policy should clearly cover:
Return deadline: How many days customers have to return or exchange an item, and when that deadline starts (for example, from delivery date).
Fees: Any return shipping fees or admin fees you charge. If fees vary by country, list the exact amount for each region (for example, Sweden 59 SEK, USA $15).
Conditions: Any requirements for a valid return, such as items being unused or having the hygiene sticker attached.
Exclusions: Any items that can't be returned, such as final sale items.
If you already have a solid return policy on your website that covers all of this, you can simply copy and paste it into the Return Policy box in Returbo.
Next step
Once your return policy is set up, it's worth checking your Complaint Resolution Settings to make sure your refund, replacement, and customer choice options line up with what your policy promises.
