Enabling ReturnGuard in ReturnLogic
Enable Return Protection by going to Settings > Returns Originate > ReturnGuard. The page will look as below and you will create the Return Protection Product from here by clicking Create Product.
Now, you can use the button to view or edit the Return Protection item in Shopify. There is also a Repair Product option if you happen to delete the product from your Shopify catalog.
Adding the ReturnGuard Product to Your Sales Channels
Choose "View/edit in Shopify" from the ReturnGuard feature page and under the Publishing block on the right side of the product page select the 3 dots menu>Manage Sales Channels. You'll need to add the product to your online store sales channel in order for it to be available.
Enabling ReturnGuard in your Shopify store
You'll need to add the ReturnGuard cart option to your Shopify theme, by first going to Shopify > Sales Channels > Online Store > Themes. You'll be adding a block to the cart page of your theme.
You'll also need to activate the app embed, found on the left menu of the theme page.
Editing the ReturnGuard Product in Shopify
The ReturnGuard Product has variant options for different cart sizes (the number of items in the cart). The default product is listed below - 1 item in the cart will be a $2 protection fee, 3 items will be $4.00, and 4 or more items will be $5.00.
If you want to have a flat rate per order, delete all other variants and set the price for the 1 item variant.
If you want the first item to be a larger amount (in this image $2.95) and each subsequent item a lower price ($1.50 for each item after with a cap at 4+ items), you can set your product up similar to this:
To set up your ReturnGuard so that every item is less than the item before, you can set it up like so:
