Preview your message before sending it to patients to make sure it looks just right

Use this guide if you want to:

  • Preview a text or email message before sending it to patients

  • Check formatting or links before launching a campaign

  • Test bulk messages by sending them to yourself first

  • Make sure your message sounds great and looks professional

These steps work whether you're testing a text template, email template, or bulk message inside Aloha.


✅ Send a Test Text Message đŸ“±

If you're working on a text template, here's how to test it:

  1. Type your message into the template editor.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen—look for the field that says "Send Test SMS."

  3. Enter your mobile number where you'd like the test message sent.

  4. Click “Save/Send Test SMS.”
    You’ll get the message on your phone within seconds.


✅ Send a Test Email Message 📧

If you're building or editing an email template, follow these steps:

  1. Write your email content as you normally would.

  2. Enter your email address in the “Send Test Email” field.

  3. Click “Save/Send Test Email.”
    Check your inbox right after—your test should arrive quickly!


✅ Test a Bulk Message (Campaign or Saved Message) đŸ“€

To test a bulk message, like a mass text or campaign blast:

  1. Create a Saved Message first.

  2. Send that saved message to your own phone or email address.

Tip: Saved messages are reusable and great for testing tone, formatting, or merge fields before sending to many patients.

  • You receive a text or email that matches the template you're working on.

  • Any merge fields (like name or date) appear correctly.

  • You’re confident everything looks perfect before sending to real patients.


💡 If Your Test Message Doesn’t Send

Phone number or email might be incorrect

Double-check the number/email you entered

The test message has missing fields

Merge tags weren’t filled in

Save your draft, then look for the send test option again
