Need a backup notification in case no one sees the message right away
Can’t always check the Aloha inbox but still want to stay informed
This automation helps ensure no patient message slips through the cracks.
🔧 What You’ll Need First
Make sure:
You have access to your Aloha account’s Automation page
You know the email address(es) where alerts should be sent
📌 What This Covers (And What It Doesn’t)
This guide helps you:
Turn on email notifications for unseen texts
Set how long a message must be “unread” before sending an alert
Customize the email recipients for these alerts
✅ Set Up Email Notifications for Unseen Texts
Click the gear icon ⚙️
This is in the top-right corner of your Aloha account.Go to the Automation page
This is where you’ll manage time-saving features like reminders and alerts.Scroll to the bottom of the page
Look for the section titled Texting Automation.Turn on the email alert toggle
Set the delay time
Enter the email(s) you want alerts sent to
You can enter one or more email addresses.
If adding multiple, separate them with commas (e.g., team@example.com, manager@example.com)
Click “Save Texting Settings” 💾
Don’t skip this step—your changes won’t go live until you save them.
💡 Troubleshooting Email Alerts
Issue | What to Check |
Not getting emails | Make sure the feature toggle is on and the email address is correct |
Emails going to spam | Check your spam/junk folder |
Getting too many alerts | Increase the time delay before a message is considered “unread” |
