Use this guide if you want to:

  • Let patients choose which provider they book with

āœ… Enable Provider Selection for Patients

Let’s make provider choice part of your patient experience:

  1. Go to the SCHEDULING tab in your Aloha dashboard

  2. Click on SETTINGS

  3. Scroll down and click ā€œSet Appointment Type Schedulesā€

  4. Make sure the Recent toggle is ON (top of the page)

  5. Under the Provider column for each appointment type, open the drop-down menu

  6. Choose one of the following options:

Do Not Ask

Automatically assigns a provider—patients won’t choose

No Preference

Patients can either pick a provider or choose ā€œno preferenceā€

Select Provider

Patients must select a provider before completing their booking

šŸ’” The default is Do Not Ask, so make sure to update each appointment type individually to match your preferences.

  • Patients see provider selection options when scheduling

  • Appointment type flows reflect your chosen setting

  • Your team receives appointments based on patient preference or availability
