Use this guide if you want to:

ā Enable Provider Selection for Patients
Letās make provider choice part of your patient experience:
Go to the SCHEDULING tab in your Aloha dashboard
Click on SETTINGS
Scroll down and click āSet Appointment Type Schedulesā
Make sure the Recent toggle is ON (top of the page)
Under the Provider column for each appointment type, open the drop-down menu
Choose one of the following options:
Option | What It Does |
Do Not Ask | Automatically assigns a providerāpatients wonāt choose |
No Preference | Patients can either pick a provider or choose āno preferenceā |
Select Provider | Patients must select a provider before completing their booking |
š” The default is Do Not Ask, so make sure to update each appointment type individually to match your preferences.
š Youāll Know It Worked When:
Patients see provider selection options when scheduling
Appointment type flows reflect your chosen setting
Your team receives appointments based on patient preference or availability
