Bulk Message:
A Bulk Message is used for one-time, unique messages that are sent to a large group of people. These messages are typically used for specific events or updates. Bulk messages are not designed for ongoing communication or recurring reminders.
Examples of Bulk Messages:
Monthly Newsletters: Announcing general updates
Service Announcements: Notifying patients of new staff hires, new services, changes in hours, or temporary closures due to weather or other events.
Reactivation Campaigns: Sending out targeted reactivation messages to clients or customers, especially when previewing the audience before sending out reactivation reminders (Reactivtions can also be setup with Campaigns)
Non-appointment Reminders: Any reminders that are not related to specific appointments, such as reminders for general service updates or seasonal promotions.
Important Notes for Bulk Messages:
Bulk messages are not used for appointment reminders.
These are one-time communications without an ongoing sequence or workflow.
Campaign:
A Campaign, on the other hand, is used for recurring communications or reminders that are part of a structured, ongoing workflow. Campaigns are typically set up to send messages over a period of time, with specific timing and content that relates to the progression of a task or series of reminders.
Examples of Campaigns:
Patient Workflows: For example, new patient workflows might include a series of reminders, paperwork requests, or insurance information updates that are sent in a scheduled sequence.
Appointment-Specific Workflows: Campaigns can be tailored to specific appointment types, such as massage therapy, acupuncture, or follow-up appointments (like Day 2 reminders). This allows the practice to send personalized reminders based on the service type.
Order Updates (for Optometry Clients): For optometry practices, campaigns can be used to update patients about the status of their glasses or contact lens orders. These updates can be sent automatically as part of an ongoing communication workflow.
Important Notes for Campaigns:
Campaigns are designed for recurring or sequential communication.
They are ideal for workflows that require multiple reminders or steps, such as appointment reminders, follow-ups, or document collection. They can also be used for internal task reminders.
