Questions This Article Answers:

  • I don’t want reminders for certain appointments—how do I turn them off?

  • Can I stop reviews from sending after specific appointment types?

  • How do I send feedback requests for only certain visits?

Context

With Aloha, you’re in full control of which appointment types send Appointment Reminders and Feedback Requests to your patients.

This flexibility is especially helpful when you have non-patient-facing appointments like "Billing Call" or "Internal Review" that don’t require automated communication.

⚙️ How to Update Appointment Type Settings

  1. Go to:
    Gear Icon > Integration

  2. Click Edit Appointment Type Settings

  3. You'll see a list of your appointment types along with toggle columns for:

    • Reminders

    • Feedback Requests

  4. For each appointment type:

    • Blue toggle = ON (messages will send)

    • Grey toggle = OFF (no messages will send)

Example: Turn both toggles OFF for an appointment type like “Internal Staff Meeting.”

📝 Best Practices

  • Most appointment types should have reminders and feedback enabled to support scheduling and review management.

  • Disable messaging only for appointment types that are internal or administrative.
