A simple guide to ensure you can see the latest updates to your forms or scheduler. Learn what a browser cache is and how to clear it in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge.
β¨ When You Need This Guide
This guide is your first stop if you find yourself asking these questions:
"Why aren't the changes I made to my form updating on my live site?"
"My embedded online scheduler isn't showing the edits I just made."
"How long does it take for my edits to appear on my website?"
Someone from a support team has asked you to "clear your browser cache."
Your website seems stuck on an old version or isn't loading correctly.
What is a Browser Cache? (And Why It Causes This)
Think of a cache as your browser's short-term memory. To make websites load faster, your browser saves pieces of them (like images and files from your embed code). Sometimes, it holds onto these old pieces for too long and doesn't "see" the new ones you've just published. Your edits are live instantly, but your browser is just showing you an old, saved copy.
Clearing the cache forces your browser to forget the old version and download the absolute latest version of the site, making your changes appear.
β Step 1: Try a "Hard Refresh" (The Quick Fix)
Before clearing your entire cache, try this first. Go to the webpage that isn't updating and press one of these key combinations to force it to reload all content:
On a Windows PC: Ctrl + F5
On a Mac: Cmd + Shift + R
If your edits appear after the page reloads, you're done! If they still don't show up, proceed to the full cache clear in Step 2.
β Step 2: Clear Your Browser's Cache
Follow the steps for the browser you use. The fastest way is often with a keyboard shortcut, which should open the "Clear Browse data" menu directly.
Shortcut on Windows: Ctrl + Shift + Delete
Shortcut on Mac (Chrome & Firefox): Cmd + Shift + Delete
If the shortcut doesn't work, use the manual steps below.

π‘ After Clearing Your Cache
Here are a few things you might notice after clearing your cache.
What You Might Notice | Why It's Happening | What to Do |
My edits still aren't showing up! | In very rare cases, the issue might be with a server-level cache, not your personal browser cache. | Please wait 5-10 minutes and try a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5 or Cmd + Shift + R) one more time. If the changes are still not visible, please contact our support team so we can investigate. |
I have to log back into all my websites. | This is expected. Clearing "Cookies and other site data" signs you out of most websites for security reasons. | This is a normal part of the process. You will need to log back into your accounts. |
Websites seem to load a little slower at first. | This is also normal. Your browser is now downloading fresh, new copies of all the website's files instead of using its saved (cached) versions. | Sites will return to their normal loading speed on subsequent visits as the cache is rebuilt with the new content. |
π You'll Know It's Working When:
You reload your website, and your recent edits to your forms, scheduler, or content are now visible.
The website looks and functions as you expect it to based on the changes you made.
