What is a Hosted Site?

An Aloha-hosted site is a website for your practice that is built and managed entirely within the Aloha platform. This guide is for users of this specific feature.

What This Covers (And What It Doesn't)

  • βœ… This article explains how to turn on the blog page and how to create, add, and organize individual blog posts.

First, you need to turn the blog feature on for your website.

πŸ’‘ Common Questions

What You Might Notice

Why It's Happening

What to Do

I added a new post, but it isn't showing up on my live website.

Your web browser is likely showing you a saved or "cached" version of your site and hasn't downloaded the latest change yet.

This is a common caching scenario. First, try a "hard refresh" on the page (Ctrl + F5 on Windows or Cmd + Shift + R on Mac). If that doesn't work, you'll need to clear your browser's cache. See our guide: Why Aren't My Edits Showing Up?.

I can't access the Hosted Site option in my settings menu.

The hosted website feature may not be included in your current Aloha package.

Please contact our support team or your account manager to inquire about adding the hosted website feature to your plan.

My YouTube video isn't showing up correctly.

You may have pasted the wrong type of link.

Go to the video on YouTube.com, click the Share button, and then Copy the link. It should start with "https://youtu.be/..."

πŸŽ‰ You'll Know It's Working When:

  • You see a Blog tab in your website editor and a Blog tab on your live site's navigation menu.

  • Your new blog posts appear on your live website in the order you have arranged them.
