✨ When You Need This Guide

Use this guide when you want to automatically message a patient as soon as a tag is applied to their contact record.

Perfect for scenarios like:

  • “How do I send a message to someone after a seminar or event?”

  • “Can I create a campaign that’s triggered by a tag?”

  • “How do I automate texts when a specific patient tag is added?”

  • “I want to send promo codes only to patients with a certain tag.”

✅ Ideal for: Promotions, procedures, patient journeys, or progress tracking
💡 Similar to a Manual Campaign, but auto-starts based on a tag


🛠️ Build a Tag-Applied Campaign

Here’s how to create your campaign:

  1. Go to: Campaigns > Show Campaigns

  2. Click +Add in the top-right corner

  3. Under Type, select Tag Applied

  4. In the dropdown, select the tag you want to use

    • Need a new tag? Choose – Add New Tag – and name it something clear like Post-Seminar or Promo2025

  5. Click Add Campaign

➕ Add Steps to the Tag-Applied Campaign

  1. Click +Add Step to set up a message

  2. Name your step something meaningful (e.g., "Promo Text 1")

  3. Select an action: usually Send Email or Send Text

  4. Pick a template from the dropdown

    • There are premade message templates, or click Edit Template to customize it

  5. Set the delay or timing for when the message should go out

  6. Click Add Campaign Step

🚀 Start Sending Messages by Applying the Tag

Once your campaign is fully built:

  1. Go to Contacts

  2. Find the patient you want to message

  3. Apply the tag you selected for the campaign (or use bulk tagging!)

💥 As soon as the tag is applied, the campaign will automatically begin sending out the messages you configured.


🎉 You’ll Know It Worked When:

  • The contact shows as active in the campaign

  • The first message in your campaign is sent as scheduled

  • The campaign status displays under the patient's profile
