The centralized date field ensures that all date-related data across different metrics, charts, and tables in a report remains aligned. Instead of setting dates individually for each widget, you can apply a single date range for the entire report.

This guide will help you understand where to find the centralized date field, its impact, and how to set it up effectively.

Note: The Centralized date report does not apply to the Scorecard and Goal Tracking Chart.

Where to Find the Centralized Date Field

  • The date field is located at the top of the Reports listing page.

  • This makes it easy to select and apply date filters across all widgets in the report.

Step-by-Step Guide to Selecting a Date Range

Step 1: Open the Reports Listing Page

Navigate to the Reports listing page, where all reports are displayed.

Step 2: Select the Date or Date Range

  • At the top of the page, locate the centralized date field.

  • Choose a specific date or date range from the calendar.

Step 3: Apply the Date Selection

  • Click the ‘Apply’ button.

  • This ensures the selected date range is applied to all widgets in the report.

How Does the Centralized Date Impact the Report?

  • Applies to All Widgets – The date selection is reflected across all widgets in the report.

  • Consistency – Ensures uniformity in date-based data, eliminating discrepancies between different sections.

  • Scheduled Reports & Notes—The selected date range applies to each widget's scheduled reports and notes summary.

Understanding the ‘Compare To’ Feature

  • The platform primarily considers the centralized date range for computations.

  • However, the Compare To feature is widget-specific and takes preference when enabled for a widget.

  • This means that setting a "Compare To" range within a widget will override the centralized date range for that particular widget.

The date range selected in the calendar is centralized and applies to all the widgets in the reports. This is centralized because it applies to the scheduled reports summary and the notes summary in each widget.
