Creating a Funnel Overview Report: A Step-by-Step Guide
Creating a comprehensive Funnel Overview Report on our platform lets you get a unified view of your sales and marketing activities within a single funnel.
This report is crucial for understanding the performance of your marketing strategies over specific periods.
Before you begin, ensure you have completed the Funnel Mapping for your integrated channels and created the necessary Funnel Groups.
Here's how you can create a Funnel Overview Report:
Pre-requisites
Funnel Mapping: Ensure that Funnel Mapping for your integrated channels is completed.
Funnel Groups Creation: Make sure they are created to populate them correctly in your report.
Step-by-Step Guide
Step 1: Navigate to Reports
There are two ways to create widgets and add them to Reports.
i. You are already on the Reports module. Click Edit Report from an existing folder.
ii. Go to the Reports module, click the 'New Report' button to create a new Report, and add widgets to the maximum limit of 20.
Folder creation
i. Users can add Reports to a Folder by choosing from the previously created Folder or creating a new one from the Folders tab on the Reports module.
Step 2: Widget Addition
Click on Add Your Widget.
Step 3: Create Custom Widget
Select Create Custom Widget.
Step 4: Widget Configuration
Enter a name for your widget.
Step 5: Select Widget Type
Choose Funnel Overview Chart under Widget Type to visualize the Funnel overview of the data.
Set Up Widget Analysis
Widget Analysis is enabled when the Funnel Overview is selected, which the user can set to see an AI-generated summary.
Step 6: Describe Your Report
Add a description for your Funnel Report to clarify its purpose.
Step 7: Set the Time Range
Specify the time range for which you want the data to be populated.
You can set a Default date range for your charts by selecting the desired option using the radio button. Once selected, this range will be applied as the Default for all your charts.
For example, selecting "30 days" as the Default will automatically be the standard choice across all your charts. However, you can change this default anytime to meet your needs.
Step 8: Choose Funnel Groups
Select the Funnel Groups to include in your Funnel Overview Report.
Step 9: Orientation Selection
Decide whether you want a vertical or horizontal Funnel report.
Chart Orientation Logic
Vertical Alignment:
If you set Row to Funnel and Column to Date Aggregation, the funnel stages will be displayed vertically, and date groupings will appear as column headers.Horizontal Alignment:
If you set Row to Date Aggregation and Column to Funnel, the date groupings will be displayed vertically, and funnel stages will appear as column headers.
Step 10: Data Population
To customize your Funnel Overview Chart, you can choose between a vertical or horizontal funnel layout by configuring the Row and Column fields. Follow the steps below to set up your chart:
Choose Funnel as a Property:
Assign the Funnel property to the Row or Column field based on your desired chart orientation.
Select Date Aggregation:
Step 11: Date Aggregation
Choose how you want to aggregate the data and display the data from the choices like Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Fiscal Quarter, and Yearly.
Step 12: Sort Date Aggregation By
The User can sort the order of the Funnel Overview report by Date. This can be done in ascending or descending patterns, as expected.
The change in the configuration here will be reflected in the preview image and the Reports details page.
Step 13: Add Manual Funnel Stages
Users can add Manual stages by clicking the 'Add Manual Funnel Stages.'
Give the Manual Stage a name for identification and reference.
Select the Data Type from the choices 'Number,' 'Percentage,' and 'Currency.'
Add Manual Funnel Stages details in all the fields and set the 'Trending Type' for the specific Manual Funnel Stage.
Step 14: Add Manual Funnel Metrics
Add Manual Funnel Metrics to the report by including Funnel Metrics here with a name for the period selected in the configuration.
Data Type: Add the Data type to reflect in the report for the computation and support units accordingly.
Stages: Include Stages for the formula computation of the specific Funnel metric.
Add the Formula
Manually feed the Formula using the Funnel stages entered above and set the trending type to complete the creation of manual funnel metrics.
Save the Manual Funnel Metrics
Save the manually added Funnel Metrics.
Preview Your Report
Get a preview of your funnel report based on your entered details. The preview is available on the right side of the configuration details.
Step 14: Save as Template
Your Funnel Overview Reports can be saved as templates for future use.

Custom Filters
Custom filters are unique to the Funnel Overview Chart and allow more targeted data refinement.
Choose from the global and custom filters to apply to the config. Create a Custom filter and check the 'Save in Filter Library' to convert them to Global Filter.
Create a new filter by selecting the channel and object as they are based on the same.
Widget analysis for the Funnel Overview Chart provides essential insights to support further analysis and strategic decision-making.
Users can access this feature by clicking the Widget Analysis icon, which expands the widget and displays a detailed summary.
Data can be compared across a selected date range with the previous period or Year-over-Year (YoY), refreshed every 15 minutes, and customized by selecting up to three category breakdowns in a preferred order.
Step 15: Create Your Widget
Click Create Widget on the top right of the page, and your Funnel Overview Chart will appear in your Reports.
Step 16: Report Management
You can Download, Edit, Duplicate, Convert to a task, View funnels, and Delete them as needed.
