Lookup fields in Revlitix allow you to connect data between a Primary Object and a Secondary Object by copying relevant information when specific conditions are met. This functionality supports the creation of multiple lookups, enabling complex data relationships across objects or channels.

By using lookup fields, you can ensure that key performance indicators (KPIs) are accurately transferred and updated, facilitating consistent data management and analysis.

How to Create Lookup Fields in the Integrations Module

Step 1: Navigate to the Integrations Module

  • Log in to your Revlitix account.

  • Go to the Integrations module from the left-hand menu.

  • Click on the KPIs card.

  • Click Add Fields.

  • From the dropdown, select Lookup Fields.

Step 2: Name Your Lookup

  • Click on Add Lookup Field.

  • Enter a descriptive Name for your lookup field that reflects its purpose.

Step 3: Add a Description

  • Provide a brief Description explaining the purpose and intended use of the lookup field.

Step 4: Set Up Data Mapping

  • Primary Channel: Select the source channel from which data will be copied.

  • Secondary Channel: Select the destination channel for data transfer.

  • Columns to Copy: Specify which columns from the primary channel should be copied to the secondary channel.

Step 5: Map Primary and Secondary IDs

  • Primary ID: Select the identifier field from the primary channel.

  • Secondary ID: Choose the corresponding identifier field in the secondary channel.

  • Use the Add Fields option to include additional fields for data copying if necessary.

Step 6: Define Sorting Order

  • Sort By: Choose a common field to sort matched values.

  • Sorting Order: Set the order to Ascending or Descending.

  • Record Based On: Decide whether to sort by the Latest or First record of the field.

Step 7: Add Conditions (Optional)

  • Click on Add Conditions to define specific criteria for copying data.

  • Combine conditions using AND/OR operators as needed to refine your data selection.

Step 8: Save Your Lookup

  • After configuring all settings, click Create to finalize and save your lookup field.

Key Considerations

  • Deleting Lookups: Removing a lookup deletes dependent KPIs, which cannot be recovered or reused in new lookups.

  • Parent-Child Object Limitation: Parent objects of the primary channel cannot be selected as secondary objects.

By following these steps, you can effectively create and manage lookup fields in Revlitix, enhancing your data integration and analysis capabilities.
