What are “smart quantities”?

They’re the suggested reorder amounts Rewize calculates when you build a PO: forecasted demand over your coverage window, minus current stock position, adjusted for supplier lead time and rules (MOQ, batch size, price tiers).

When you can change them

You can adjust quantities during PO creation (coverage slider) and in the Draft PO (edit table → update). Changes let you respond to promos, cash limits, or supplier pack rounding.

Modify during PO creation

  1. In Products, select SKUs → + Create PO.

  2. Choose the replenishment location.

  3. Use the timeline coverage control: drag the cover point forward/back to scale quantities before the PO is created.

  4. Click Create to open the Draft PO.

Modify in a Draft PO (bulk)

  1. Go to Orders → open the PO (status: Draft).

  2. Click Edit on the table.

  3. Adjust the days of coverage control (same logic as creation) to raise/lower all line quantities.

  4. Click Update Quantities to recalculate suggestions across every SKU.

  5. Save.

Modify in a Draft PO (per-SKU fine-tune)

  1. In the Draft PO table, locate the SKU line.

  2. Edit the Qty field (where editable) to override the suggested number.

  3. Check the MOQ/batch indicator—if you break rules, adjust up to the next valid pack.

  4. Save when finished.

Review impact before approving

The Draft PO shows for each line: Qty, current Cover, MOQ/batch fit, Unit cost, and projected New cover date. Use these to catch under-buys, excess, or missed tier breaks.

Need to change the rules driving smart qtys?

Update Lead time, MOQ, Batch size, Price tiers in Suppliers → View (select SKUs, edit, Save) or from a product’s Edit order details. Future POs will then calculate with the new rules. (See How do I set supplier requirements?)

Tips

• Nudge coverage in small steps to see how qty & cost shift before committing.

• Watch MOQ/batch flags—rounding up a little may unlock price tiers.

• Recalculate after editing multiple lines to keep cover dates meaningful.

• Large updates to many SKUs? Ask us to bulk-import via CSV.
