How to Create and Edit a Training Program
Why does it matter?
Training programs are at the heart of moving the needle in assisting under-resourced communities to develop their career skills, digital literacy, workforce readiness, and much more. RiseKit provides a dedicated space to upload new resources for your internal teams or to be shared throughout the RiseKit network.

Navigation:
To access the Training Program section of the Resources page do the following:
Login to your RiseKit account at Staff Portal
Move your mouse toward the left-hand navigation.
You should see links that show the following options
Organization
Chat
Candidates
Resources
Surveys
Click on "Resources"
At the top of the page, you will see All, Support Services, Training Programs, Job Opportunities, and Events. Make sure to select Training Program, this will take you to a list of resources that have either been created by your internal teams or shared across the RiseKit Network.

Creating a New Training Program
Creating a Training Program is incredibly simple with RiseKit. Follow the steps below to add the Training Program.
1. On the Training Program tab on the resources page, click the + New button on the top right corner.
2. You should see a modal appear that will guide you through the step-by-step process of adding a new Training Program.
Creating a Link Entry
The Link Entry modal that pops up provides a step-by-step process for adding your Training Program.

Step 1: Make sure that you have the correct resource type selected. In our case, it should be Training Program.
Step 2: Add additional Training Program attributes, then choose Review Details
URL: This a link to the Training Program. This can be a link to a description of the Training Program, the application page for the Training Program, or a flyer about the Training Program.
Training Program Title: This is the name of the Training Program. Include the Organization offering the Training Program as well las the name of the Training Program. Example: ACME Corporation: Free Basic and Advanced Microsoft Word Training
Description: Include some key information about the Training Program to provide participants with information about the program. For example, include Hours of Operation, Age Requirements, Training Offered. Example: Three month, in person, Microsoft Certification Course. Call 555-555-5555 to make an appointment for an interview. Must be a SNAP recipient to qualify.
Program Type: Select the type of program the Training Program is.
Schedule: Select the timing of schedule for the Training Program.
Preferred Education Level: The preferred education level for candidates interested in participating in the Training Program.
Background Friendly: Determines if the Training Program is background friendly or not.
Length of Program: The length of the Training Program in either weeks or months.
Pay Rate: The rate of pay for the Training Program, which can either be selected hourly, yearly, or unpaid entirely.
Location: Select whether the Training Program is offered REMOTELY, HYBRID or IN-PERSON. If the Training Program is onsite, include the address by typing it into the Address box.
Step 2: Training Program Details. Add additional Training Program Details, then choose Next Step
Add Contact Information: Contact information in the respective fields.
Related Industries: Select these from a list of specific industries. You can select more than one, choose the industry by clicking the check mark next to it, and repeat as many times as is needed for all related industries.
Eligibility: The age eligibility that is required of the candidates wanting to attend the Training Program. This tab also asks whether people with disabilities, military status, or varying gender are allowed to participate.
Covid-19 Precautions: Select whether there is a requirement for masks or not during the Training Program.
Step 3: Review the Training Program details, then choose how the event should be shared and Submit
Link Expiration: Choose a date when you want the resource to expire and no longer be visible to the RiseKit network.
If you'd like to go back and edit your resource's details, select Edit
Choose RiseKit Network and then select Submit
Editing a Training Program
To edit a Training Program that you have previously posted, follow the steps above to get to the Training Program section. Here you can search for the Training Program you need to edit by keyword as well as sort by date the Training Program was posted or filter by industry, training role, zip code, tuition cost, age, gender, ethnicity, or other filters.
Note, if you did not create the Training Program, you will not have the ability to edit the Training Program. You can only edit the Training Programs that you originally created.
1. Click View Details to open up the Training Program.
2. Select the Pencil Icon/Edit in the top right corner.
3. Navigate to the area where you need to edit the information
When you are done editing, choose Review Details until you get to Step 3: Link Sharing Options, and choose Submit
