Overview
The Documents Page provides the ability to:
House P&IDs, PDF reports, and any other supporting PHA documentation within Risk Alive. Uploaded documents are presented in a user-friendly list format and can be downloaded by all users with access to the corresponding PHA in Risk Alive. New documents can be securely uploaded by select Risk Alive users with appropriate permissions.
Drawing Documents can now be run through Computer Vision Tools to save time in either PHA Session Preparation or making P&IDs Searchable.
Users can document Session Attendees and Session Information including dates and length of session.
Navigation
The Documents page for a PHA in Risk Alive can be found by clicking on the icon with the "file" symbol associated with the corresponding PHA on your Risk Alive Dashboard.
Alternatively, you can also access the Documents page by clicking on the icon with the "file" symbol in the left-side ribbon of your LivePHA™ window.
Document Download
Uploaded documents will appear in a list format as shown in Figure 1. There is 1 tab for "Drawing Documents" and 1 tab for all other "Supporting Documents". To download, click on the "down arrow" in the bottom right corner corresponding to each document.

Drawing Document References
For each Drawing Document uploaded, a user can manually add for all Drawings their:
Number
Revision
Description
Page Number in Document

These Drawings and Revisions can then be selected for each Node, which will provide users a dropdown menu when selecting Drawings for Cause and Recommendation reference.

If you select a Drawing from the dropdown which is linked to the Drawing Documents Page to a valid PDF, your drawing will now show as a link in a blue icon. If you select the Drawing Icon on the left, it will open up your Drawing PDF in a new tab to the correct page number for simple reference.
Fig 8. Blue Icon indicates if you select the icon, it will open up your respective drawing document
Access Control
"Upload" and "Deletion" functions are controlled through User Management and only available to select users. Please contact your organization's Risk Alive Administrator for access to these functions.
NOTE: If your organization does not have an Administrator, please contact your Risk Alive Customer Success team through the in-app chat and we'll help you out!
Drawing Documents Computer Vision Tools
Once a Drawing Document is successfully uploaded then a user will be able to run the following tool(s):
P&ID Name/Number/Revision Extraction
When this tool is executed the P&ID Name/Number/Revision/Node information will be extracted and automatically populated into LivePHA. Once it is populated, the user will then be able to manipulate the data manually as before.
The tool requires one P&ID Number example from the P&ID file to improve the success of its extraction
Searchable P&ID:
When this tool is executed, a copy of the P&ID PDF file uploaded will be downloadable and it will be completely searchable. For example, an instrumentation tag of PSV 123 will be searchable through PSV-123.
Select"Searchable P&ID Extraction" to run the tool, and select "Download Searchable File" to receive the respective file.
Auto Noding Assist (ANA):
Noding is a high effort task that is required prior to PHA Sessions. The Auto Noding Assist tool has been built to save time in Noding, with documented internal time savings of ~ 40% for medium complexity P&ID Drawings
As different facilitators may have differing definitions of Node boundaries (i.e. where a Node should start and end), the input to the tool is a roughly noded drawing, similar to one a senior facilitator would provide to a colleague for detailed noding.
Steps:
Use a PDF tool like Adobe Acrobat, utilize the Cloud drawing tool to create a border around the Node you want pipelines automatically noded.
For the comment/note associated with the Cloud Drawing, identify Node X, where X is the Node number you want associated with the Node (e.g. Node 1). Please note, the Node Number will currently determine the Node Color after execution, so if you have specific color requirements, please reach out before execution.
A single P&ID can have multiple cloud boundaries, and the Clouds do not need to be colored differently
Upload the Clouded Rough P&ID Package.
Select Auto Noding Assist
After tool is completed running, Download Auto Noded File.
Note that we've found that if you require detailed noding of Low to Medium Complex Drawings, Auto Noding Assist can be very beneficial. If you require noding of a very complex drawing in which the clouding effort will be very similar to the manual noding effort, it may be simpler to node those low percentage of drawings manually.
See below for input/output examples.
Example 1 Input:
Example 2 Output:
Session Attendees and Dates
Upon landing on the Sessions tab, you will find an area to input information about the Attendees and the Sessions.
For Attendees, the current available information includes:
First Name
Last Name
Email
Company
Role
For Sessions, the current Available information includes:
Session Date
Length of Session (hours)
Description of Session
Attendees
Attendance Status (Present/Partial/Absent)
The Session Length is adjustable. If an Attendee is Absent, their hours are assumed to be 0. If an Attendee is Present, their hours are assumed to match the length of the session. If an attendee is Partial, their hours are assumed to be 4 hours, and can be specified as required.
In the top right of the page, there is an ability to export the Session information into a CSV File. In the future this will be exported in a format that can be used for word reports.
