📍 Accessing the Vendor 1099 Dashboard

To get started:

  1. Go to the Project tab

  2. Select Vendors & POs

  3. Click the “1099s” tab

You’ll see two main views:

  • Eligible Vendors: Vendors with qualifying payments that may require 1099 reporting

  • Ready for Filing: Vendors whose info has been reviewed and approved for filing

  1. In the Eligible Vendors table, find the vendor

The 1099 tab in Vendors & POs gives you two main views:

  • Eligible Vendors: Vendors with qualifying payments that may require 1099 filing

  • Ready for Filing: Vendors whose information has been reviewed and marked as ready to submit for 1099s


2. What makes a vendor eligible for a 1099?

A vendor is eligible if:

  • They received qualifying payments over the IRS threshold

  • Their payment method and vendor type require 1099 reporting

  • Their W9 form and business info are on file


3. What’s the difference between Vendor Name and Business Name?

  • Vendor Name: What your team calls the vendor internally

  • Business Name: The legal name used for 1099 tax filing (must match the name associated with the vendor’s Tax ID)

There are three ways to add a W9 for a vendor:

  1. Request via Email

    • Go to the vendor’s profile and click “Request W9” to send a secure upload link

  2. Upload it yourself

    • Drag and drop the file directly into the vendor’s profile

  3. Vendor upload

    • If they receive your request email, they can securely upload their W9 through the link


📬 How do vendors know their 1099 has been filed?

Once a vendor is included in a submitted 1099 batch:

  • They will receive a confirmation email from our e-filing provider

  • The email will include a secure link to access, download, and print their 1099 form


📅 When are 1099s sent to vendors?

Roll Credits ensures that 1099s are delivered on or before the IRS deadline (typically January 31st each year).

  • Digital 1099s are emailed to vendors once the filing is submitted

  • You’ll receive a confirmation once the batch is complete and distributed
