No, Nomad Insurance Essential does not provide reimbursement for cancelled trips. Nomad Insurance Essential is primarily a travel medical insurance plan that focuses on healthcare coverage while traveling, with some travel benefits.
What travel benefits does Nomad Insurance Essential include?
Nomad Insurance Essential includes travel-related benefits such as:
Lost checked luggage
Delayed transportation
Stolen passport or visa
Inaccessible or cancelled accommodation
Theft of wallet
Robbery
What is NOT covered under Nomad Insurance Essential?
Nomad Insurance Essential does not provide reimbursement for:
Trip cancellation
Flight tickets (including missed flights for any reason)
Hotel booking cancellations, except in the case of inaccessible or cancelled accommodation
Other prepaid travel arrangement cancellations
This is because Nomad Insurance Essential is not a trip protection plan.
How can I get trip cancellation coverage?
You can apply for the Nomad Insurance Complete plan to access trip cancellation benefits. Nomad Insurance Complete provides trip cancellation coverage for up to US$300 per trip.
