π Glossary of Terms
Fair use: Fair use is a legal doctrine that allows for the limited use of copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. Fair use is determined on a case-by-case basis, and there are four factors that courts consider when determining whether a use is fair:
The purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is commercial or is for non-profit educational purposes;
The nature of the copyrighted work;
The amount and substantiality of the portion used concerning the copyrighted work as a whole; and
The effect of the use on the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.
Rate limit: A rate limit restricts the number of requests that can be made to a system in a given period. Rate limits prevent system abuse and ensure that all users have fair access to resources.
Software: Software is a set of instructions that tells a computer what to do. Software can perform various tasks, such as creating documents, playing games, and browsing the web.
Hosted platform: The hosted platform is a cloud-based platform that provides users access to Salesbuildr Web Applications. This is hosted primarily in Microsoft Azure with all services and data for any given tenant located in their designated region.
