Leasing enables your customers to spread payments over time, making it easier to close deals and offer financing options directly from your quote. The feature supports both:
Simple configurations: Fixed leasing periods and rates
Advanced configurations: Dynamic, rule-based leasing logic
Leasing is currently in early access and part of the Premium plan. Please contact your account manager to enable this feature.
π§ Enabling Leasing (Admin Setup)
To enable leasing at a global level:
Go to Admin > Quotes > Leasing
Toggle Leasing calculation enabled to ON
Choose your Layout option: This impacts how leasing rates and terms are configured.
Simple
Advanced
Simple Layout
The Simple Layout is easy to set up and works automatically in the background.
You define value brackets (FromβTo), leasing terms (e.g., 12, 24, 36, 48 months), and an annual interest rate.
If Fixed Leasing Term is set to Default:
The system will automatically select the appropriate leasing term based on the total value of the eligible product. If a Fixed Leasing Term is set (e.g., 36 months):
The system will always use the fixed term, regardless of the total value.
Advanced Layout
The Advanced Layout provides maximum flexibility for creating tailored leasing experiences based on customer needs and quote value. This mode is ideal when you need more control over how lease terms are applied in quotes.
Key Features of Advanced Layout:
β Custom Term Selection
Users can manually select the leasing term (e.g., 12, 24, 36, or 48 months) during quote creation, rather than relying on automated bracket-based logic.β Downpayment Support
Optionally add a downpayment to reduce the total financed amount. This is deducted from the total before leasing calculations.β Final Payment Option
Specify a final balloon payment at the end of the lease, allowing for lower monthly payments across the lease term.β Show Price for Leasing Items
Toggle visibility of item-level pricing in the leasing summary for customer-facing quotes.
π§Ύ Enabling Leasing on the Quote Level
Once globally enabled, add the Leasing Summary Widget in any quote:
Open the quote
Click the β+β icon to add Widgets
Select Leasing Summary Widget
The widget appears as an editable block; when you add eligible products to the quote, they will be included in the leasing summary.
Once items are added in quote, they will appear in the leasing summary table.
π·οΈ Making Products Eligible for Leasing
Leasing only applies to one-time products. To mark a product as eligible:
Navigate to Products
Click Edit on the product
Go to the Pricing tab
Enable:
Eligible for leasing - includes the item in leasing calculations
Show in Leasing Table - displays the item in the Leasing Summary Widget
Reminder: Leasing currently applies only to one-time products (e.g. hardware, setup fees). Recurring services (like Office 365 subscriptions) are not included in leasing calculations or summaries.
π Where it appears in the quote
Once enabled and configured:
Sales reps see leasing totals in the quote builder
Only eligible products are included
The quote will show monthly lease amounts, optionally alongside purchase pricing
Based on configuration, customers can:
See or hide item-level prices
Be restricted to a fixed lease term or choose from available options
View lease totals only, without tax breakdowns
π¦ Template Variables for Leasing Quotes
Use the following variables in quote templates to control leasing output:
Variable | Description |
Monthly leasing total excluding tax
Monthly leasing total including tax
Total monthly amount, combining leasing and all other recurring services
Returns the total sum of leasing payments excluding the first month.
These variables help ensure that your leasing quotes reflect clear, accurate monthly pricing breakdowns, giving customers the full picture.
