Updated this week

To customize the general settings in Salesbuildr, navigate to Admin, then select Configuration, and finally click on General.

Once in the General settings, you will find various options under the Basic Configuration tab that you can adjust based on your requirements:

  1. Default Account Manager: Designate a default account manager whose business card will be displayed on the dashboard.

  2. Display Middle Names: Decide whether or not to include middle names from the Autotask field when displaying names.

  3. Currency: Set the default currency for transactions. Additionally, configure the Price Calculation Strategy: Choose one of the following rounding strategies:

    1. As-is

    2. Round up from the third digit, minus one cent (e.g., €1,234.56 becomes €1,299.99)

    3. Round up from the third digit (e.g., €1,234.56 becomes €1,300.00)

    4. For prices above €100, round up to the nearest whole number (e.g., €1,234.56 becomes €1,235.00)

  4. Markup or Margin Selection: Indicate whether to use markup or margin for profit calculation. Markup is profit relative to cost (e.g., a product costing €50 and selling for €80 has a markup of 60%), while margin is profit relative to sales price (e.g., a product costing €50 and selling for €80 has a margin of 37.5%).

  5. Default Markup for Categories: Set the default markup applied to new categories you create.

  6. Show Articles on Dashboard: Choose whether to display the latest articles on your dashboard. Note: This is a premium feature.

  7. Hide Product Pricing for Anonymous Users: Decide if prices will be hidden or displayed for users who are not logged in.

  8. Hide Product Part Number: Select whether to display or hide the manufacturer part numbers on category and product pages for customers.

  9. Hide Welcome Message on Dashboard: Choose to show or hide the welcome message on your dashboard.

Additionally, you can manage various authentication methods under the Auth Configuration tab. It is recommended to enable Microsoft and Google Single Sign-On (SSO) for a smoother user experience.
