To start collecting new insights from your website traffic is really easy. You simply download the small code or send it to the person that you want to help you with the installation. Easy sharing function makes this step really fast.

The script should, in the best case, be placed directly on the website in the the code at the bottom of the header section, above the closing header tag (HEAD tag), on each page of your site. If you can’t do this you could place it elsewhere but it might affect the performance of the analysis. But you should anyhow place it on all web pages and also in the check out systems if it is separate from the web site. You can also deploy the script through a tag manager if you have one, but this should be the last option.

Once the script is deployed it will start collecting data and process it for you.

What we do is that we try to catch the geographical information from the website visitor to match it to our Mosaic Lifestyles database. The more accurate information the better the results. As default we try to match the IP-address from the visitor to a zip code, but if you can provide more accurate information you should pass it to us. Some of our customers ask for a zip code from every visitor and then pass it to us. Others pass the zip code to Samhub upon check out, this is great data to analyse so if you can push this to our script. Contact us to learn how to do it.
