What ad formats do I need for Native Click Ads (PPC)?

Written by Samhub

Native ads are by design supposed to look and feel editorial so they consist of an image, headline and text body + a link to your landing page.

How to succeed with Native Ads

  1. Make sure you have a great landing page for your potential customers. With this type of ads the customers expect a rewarding reading experience, and as a part of this reading experience you should have clear call to actions. BUT. It is important that the calls to action does not take over the reading experience.

  2. Minimize the number of clicks needed to access the landing page. For every click you will lose a large share of visitors and potential customers.

  3. Try a few different ads. Use different headlines, descriptions and images to optimise your ads. Make sure that the content of the ads really reflects the content on the landing page. If your ads say one thing and your landing page contains something else, your users will bounce and you will not get a good ROI.

  4. Use the right optimisation strategies. There are a few options:

    1. Mosaic Lifestyles targeting: focus on the right audience for your brand, those that are more likely to convert.

    2. AI-powered context optimisation or select the right context for you (if you know your customers well enough).

    3. Optimise on clicks, reading time or conversions, the two latter requires a script on your site but we can deploy this for you.

  5. Evaluate over time, monitor the ads performance to ensure that they work 100%. A good thing is that this is included in Samhub.

  • Our recommendation is that the headline is no more than 40-60 characters.

  • Max length for the body text is 90 characters including spaces. Our recommendation is however that the text is no longer than 80 characters.

  • The length of the body text will be adjusted based on the website configuration. This means that longer texts might get cut and show (…) on some websites.
