If you use other tracking tags than UTM you will need to add a custom parameter to your traffic source configuration.
When configuring a traffic source you have the default view that looks like this:
In this view you usually select the utm-options in the drop down. But if you use for example Matomo you would instead select last option "URL Parameter". And then it looks like this instead:
Here you can now see a fourth field named "Parameter". In this field you would add the corresponding parameter, for instance "mtm_campaign", and then the value in the same way as you usually do. It would then look like this:
You can add any parameter here that is supported by the tracking system you use. Like: mtm_campaign, mtm_source, mtm_medium, etc.
