Before your website can go live, you'll need to connect your custom domain to Showit. This is a one time setup that tells your domain where your website is hosted.
Before You Get Started
To connect your domain, you'll need access to:
Your Showit account
The account where your domain is registered (such as GoDaddy, Squarespace Domains, Namecheap, Cloudflare, Hover, etc.)
If someone else purchased or manages your domain, you'll need to ask them for access before you can make any changes.
How to Connect Your Domain
Showit makes connecting your domain simple by providing the DNS records you'll need.
You'll simply copy the records provided by Showit and add them to your domain provider's DNS settings.
Once your DNS records have been updated, your website will begin connecting to your domain.
How Long Does It Take?
After updating your DNS records, it can take up to 48 hours for the changes to fully propagate across the internet.
During this time, it's normal if your website doesn't load immediately or appears inconsistent or shows an error message while the changes are being processed.
