How to Check New Employees' Compliance Using the Dashboard

Instructions to check an employee has completed onboarding tasks, and is ready to roster

Updated over 7 months ago

The Dashboard features a compliance view that allows managers to track whether newly recruited or onboarding employees have completed the key steps required to begin work. This includes finalising induction activities, providing essential HR and payroll details, and signed employment contracts. Managers can also check that employee contact information is recorded correctly and that all compliance requirements have been met before the employee is fully active.

From the same view, managers can send reminders directly to employees who have not yet completed these steps, and those messages are automatically logged in the employee’s file. This creates accountability, ensures important onboarding tasks are not overlooked and provides an auditable record of communication. Using the compliance dashboard helps confirm that new staff are properly onboarded, that records remain complete and accurate, and that workplace and regulatory requirements are met. This guide explains how to check new employees’ compliance using the dashboard.

Quick Guide

Checking a New Employee’s Compliance Using the Dashboard

  1. On the Dashboard, navigate to the Total Current Employees box in the top left, and click on the square and arrow icon.

  2. This displays an overview of each employee’s compliance.

  3. The column directly to the right of an employee’s title reflects the status of their onboarding tasks.

  4. If an icon is green, that indicates the particular task is complete, and red means incomplete.

  5. A green C means the employee has signed their contract.

  6. P relates to the adding of their personal details.

  7. A green B means bank details are on file.

  8. T refers to tax details.

  9. S covers an employee’s super fund.

  10. An employee who has completed all onboarding tasks has a red tick next to these tasks, and they are ready to be rostered.

  11. For remaining compliance columns:

    • Green = completed or current

    • Yellow = pending or less than three months to expiry

    • Red = incomplete or expired

    • Grey = document not supplied

  12. To contact an employee in relation to this, click on the message icon at the far right of their name.

  13. Type your message in the provided field.

  14. Click SEND MESSAGE.
