POS integrations with SauceyDirect, and how to get started

SauceyDirect integrates with a variety of point-of-sale (POS) systems to help automate inventory syncing, improve menu accuracy, and simplify operations. Depending on your POS provider, integration may be API-based (automatic), manual (export/upload), or POS-controlled (requires involvement from your POS vendor).

Below is a guide to the POS systems we support, how they integrate, and what to expect during setup.

🔧 How to Set Up Your POS Integration

🍀 Clover POS Setup:

  1. Generate API Token:

    • Log into your Clover dashboard.

    • Go to Accounts & Setup > Business Operations > API Tokens.

    • Click Create New Token, name it Saucey, and check Read Inventory.

    • Copy the Private Token.

  2. Locate Merchant ID:

    • Go to Accounts & Setup > Merchant.

    • Copy the Merchant ID (13-character alphanumeric string).

  3. Send Details to Saucey:
    Email your API Token and Merchant ID to merchant-support@saucey.com


⚡️ Lightspeed POS Setup:

Here are the instructions on setting up the inventory export on your end:

    • Enter your Store URL

    • Go to Settings at the bottom left

    • Registers

    • Outlet & register

    • Click on main register and get the URL at the very top

  1. Provide the following to us:

R-Series

  • Must have a version that includes API

Here are the instructions on setting up the inventory export on your end:

    • You will be redirected to the Lightspeed retailer authentication process. Enter your domain/site URL

  1. Once logged in: authorize Saucey

    • Once you authorize us, we should be able to access your inventory

  2. Please let us know when that is completed so we can export your inventory.


📌 Additional Notes

  • Some POS vendors charge integration fees — especially for POS-controlled setups. Always confirm costs with your POS provider.

  • If you’re unsure whether your POS supports API integration, contact our team at merchant-support@sauceydirect.com.

  • API integrations provide real-time inventory syncing, while manual integrations require periodic uploads.
