Overview
SauceyDirect can now process delivery orders using your existing in-store payment processor as long as your processor can connect to NMI (Network Merchants, Inc.), a widely used payment gateway.
This allows you to:
Keep your current merchant account
Maintain your existing transaction history
Potentially benefit from lower processing rates
Consolidate in-store and delivery sales under one processor
Strengthen your processing profile with increased volume
For most merchants, this is the preferred setup.
Why This Is Recommended
Using your current processor typically means:
You already have established underwriting and processing history
Your transaction rates may be lower than opening a new high-risk account
Adding delivery volume can improve your overall sales profile
Since NMI is a popular gateway, many processors already support it. In most cases, it’s simply a matter of asking your payment processor to enable NMI gateway access.
Step 1: Contact Your Payment Processor
Reach out to your processor and request:
“Please connect my merchant account to the NMI payment gateway.”
If they ask what is needed, let them know SauceyDirect requires:
Gateway ID
Private Key (API Key)
Public Key (Tokenization Key)

Hi [Processor Contact Name / Support Team],
We are working with SauceyDirect to enable delivery and pickup ordering for our store, and we would like to continue processing payments through our existing in-store merchant account.
To make this possible, we need our account connected to the NMI (Network Merchants, Inc.) payment gateway so SauceyDirect can integrate with our processor.
Could you please assist with enabling or confirming the following on our account:
NMI Gateway Requirements
Connect our merchant account to the NMI payment gateway
Ensure Customer Vault is enabled (we understand this may be an additional monthly fee of approximately $10)
Ensure CVV is disabled in NMI (temporary requirement for SauceyDirect integration)
Credentials Needed After Setup
Once NMI is enabled, please provide us with:
Gateway ID
Private Key (API Key)
Public Key (Tokenization Key)
We will securely pass these credentials to SauceyDirect so they can complete the integration on their end.
We would greatly appreciate your help in getting this set up as soon as possible so we can begin processing our delivery orders.
Please let me know if you need anything further from us.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,

Required NMI Settings
Before we can complete the integration, please confirm the following settings are enabled in your NMI dashboard:
✅ Required
Gateway ID

⚠️ Important
CVV must be turned OFF (unchecked)
A fix is currently in progress, but for now CVV must remain disabled for proper integration.
