How Your Payout Is Calculated

What goes into my payout?

Your payout for each completed order is calculated by starting with the full customer-facing order total and subtracting applicable fees. Here is a breakdown of how it works:

  • Order subtotal β€” the total value of all items in the customer's cart at your listed prices

  • Plus: taxes

  • Plus: any delivery fee charged to the customer (if you pass this through)

  • Plus: any tip the customer left for the driver (passed directly to the driver, not included in your payout)

  • Minus: SauceyDirect platform/application fees

  • Minus: payment processing fees

  • Minus: any refunds or adjustments issued on the order

The resulting amount is your net payout for that order.

Why does my payout sometimes show the full delivery fee withheld?

If you charge customers a custom delivery fee that differs from SauceyDirect's standard fee, the full standard delivery fee may appear withheld in your payout report. This is a display difference and not an overcharge β€” the net amount credited to you still reflects the correct calculation. See the related article on delivery fee payout display for a full explanation.

How can I see a breakdown of my payouts?

You can view a detailed breakdown of each order's payout in the Reports section of your Merchant Dashboard. The Detailed Order Report shows line-item detail for fees, refunds, and net amounts per order.

When are payouts sent?

Payout timing depends on your payment processor setup. Payouts are typically sent on a daily basis, though this may vary. Refer to your payment processor's documentation or the Pricing & Payments section of this help center for specific timing details.

Note: If you believe a payout amount is incorrect, contact SauceyDirect support with the order number and we will review it with you.
