My online booking is not available

There are a number of things to check

  • Online booking is enabled in the top right cog > online booking > Online booking settings

  • You have groomers available to be booked in the top right cog > Staff > Staff Roles


What is the customer portal?

Customer Portal

The customer portal is where customers can log in via the online booking to see upcoming/ past appointments. They can view and fill in Forms or, if enabled, request to rearrange or cancel appointments.

It is now all in one to help make it easier for clients to find the information they are looking for whether it is to book an appointment or see their upcoming bookings.


Is there a Savvy website I can use?

There is no website currently offered by Savvy Pet; we only have the online booking, which has the customer portal included within it.


Where can I find the Booking Policy settings?

Go to Cog Settings → Payments → Booking Policy. From here you can set up payment requests, no-show charges, late cancellation fees, and payment methods.


Will customers see my payment and cancellation policies?

Yes. Policies are displayed to customers during the booking stage and again in their appointment confirmation.


Can I charge a percentage instead of a fixed fee for no-shows or late cancellations?

Yes. You can set either a fixed amount (e.g., £20) or a percentage (e.g., 50%) when configuring your policies.


What happens if a customer doesn’t have a card saved on file?

If using Savvy Pay, the system will automatically generate and send an invoice link for manual payment.


Can I still choose not to charge a customer?

Yes. When you mark an appointment as No-Show or Cancelled, the system prompts you to either Charge or Don’t charge the fee.


What’s the difference between Savvy Pay and Bank Transfer?

  • Savvy Pay: Charges the card on file automatically, or sends an invoice link if no card is saved. (Processing fee: £0.12 per transaction).

  • Bank Transfer: Generates an invoice with your bank transfer details. The customer pays manually, but payment is still tracked in your Savvy system.


Where do I set payment methods for manual bookings?

Go to Cog Settings → Payments → Booking Policy → Payment for All Bookings. From there, set up your Manual Booking Payment method.


How do I request a deposit or full payment upfront for manual bookings?

In Manual Booking Payment, select Payment Request. You can then set a fixed amount or percentage, add a description, and choose a payment method.


How do I set payment requirements for online bookings?

Go to Cog Settings → Online Booking → Configurations → Online Booking Payment. You can require a deposit, full payment, or allow bookings without prepayment.



What happens if I haven’t set up no-show or late cancellation policies yet?

A pop-up will appear when you try to charge a no-show/cancellation. Clicking “Show Me” takes you directly to the Booking Policy tab to set them up.
