What is the "Designee to Receive U.S. Mail in My Absence" document that I am asked to sign?
After you subscribe, we ask you to sign a short document titled "Designee to Receive U.S. Mail in My Absence." It authorizes the RV park community where your residential address is located — and its staff — to accept mail addressed to you at that address when you are not there in person.
Why we ask you to sign it
Signing this document means the park's staff have clear, documented permission to accept mail addressed to you while you're traveling or abroad, so your mail keeps moving without interruption.
What happens to the document
We keep your signed designation on file digitally, and the RV park can access it at any time.
What this document is not
It is not a change of address. Signing it does not redirect your mail, and you should not file a USPS change-of-address form for your SavvyNomad address.
It is not USPS Form 1583. Form 1583 authorizes us to receive and handle mail at your mailing address. This designation covers your residential address at the RV park.
It does not change how your mail is handled. Your scanning, forwarding, and mail preferences all stay exactly the same.
