It's obviously annoying if your diffuser leaks oil. Fortunately, there are two clear causes we often see:
1. The diffuser was tilted after filling
After pouring the scent into the blue oil reservoir and closing the device, it's very important to always keep the diffuser upright.
Our diffuser works with air pressure and mists the oil into microscopically small particles. That's why there's a small air vent at the top. If the diffuser is tilted even for a few seconds after filling, oil can leak out through the pump.
2. The scent bottle was screwed directly into the device
This sometimes happens when people think the glass bottle (the ScentPod) can go directly into the diffuser. That's not the intention.
As we also explain in the article "How do I use the scent oil?", we've used different packaging in the past. With one type of bottle, it looked like it could be screwed directly into the device, but it didn't seal properly, which could cause leakage.
If you think this happened to you: please contact our customer service and ask to speak with a team member. In many cases we can compensate you and find a solution together.
In short:
Always keep the diffuser upright once there's oil in it.
Always use the blue oil reservoir instead of the scent bottle itself.
That way you'll avoid this problem in the future.
