In ScribbleVet, the Cornerstone integration lets you sync appointments from your Cornerstone schedule into ScribbleVet and push completed SOAP notes back to the patient's record in Cornerstone.
Note: Syncing and pushing can only be done from the ScribbleVet web version, not the mobile app. However, you will be able to see synced appointments in both the app and web so you can record on them. |
Before you begin
Your practice's Cornerstone integration must be set up and active. See Set Up the Avimark, Cornerstone, or Impromed Integration for instructions on setting up the integration. Once you’ve reviewed the guide, complete the integration setup form here.
Account owners, providers, and admins can pull appointments and push notes for the entire team. If you’d like everyone in your practice to be able to pull appointments and push notes for the entire team, contact us at support@scribblevet.com.
Individual ScribbleVet users can only pull and push appointments where they are assigned as the provider in Cornerstone.
This integration is enabled at the practice level and applies to all doctors at a practice. Individual users can't use it.
Sync appointments from Cornerstone
Pull appointments from Cornerstone to add them to your ScribbleVet appointment list without creating them manually.
In Cornerstone, schedule the appointment with the correct provider assigned.
Make sure you are viewing the schedule for the correct date.
In ScribbleVet, open Appointments and select the same date as the date you’re viewing in Cornerstone.
Click the Cornerstone button at the top of your appointment list in ScribbleVet.
Note: All appointments with a linked provider will be pulled. Linking providers in Settings → Integrations helps ScribbleVet automatically assign each pulled appointment to the correct ScribbleVet user. |
Push a note back to Cornerstone
Once you finish documenting a visit in ScribbleVet, you can push select sections of the SOAP note back to Cornerstone as a new document in the patient's record.
Open the completed note in the ScribbleVet web portal (not the mobile app).
Click Cornerstone at the top of the note.
Select which sections you want to sync: History, Exam, Assessment, Plan, and/or Email for the client.
Toggle Include note header and Auto finalize note on or off, as needed.
Click Confirm selection.
The selected sections are combined into a new document in the patient's Cornerstone record. The synced note appears in the patient's History as a new document.
Frequently asked questions
Can I push a note to Cornerstone for an appointment I created manually in ScribbleVet? No. Notes can only be pushed back to appointments that were originally pulled from Cornerstone.
Who can pull appointments for the whole practice?
Account owners and admins can pull appointments for the entire practice. All other users can pull only the appointments where they're assigned as the provider in Cornerstone.
What does Auto finalize note do?
Turning Auto finalize note on pushes the note to Cornerstone as finalized. Leaving it off pushes the note as unfinalized, so it can still be edited in Cornerstone before finalizing.
Can I select an existing medical record or condition to push the note to?
No. The integration creates a new document in Cornerstone. It does not overwrite or merge with existing medical records or medical conditions.
