Sellar Credit FAQ (Quick Guide) for Buyers

What is Sellar Credit?

Sellar Credit gives you one shared balance to spend with all Suppliers on Sellar. Instead of paying each Supplier separately, your orders are added to a single monthly tab. At the end of the month, you’ll receive one statement and make just one payment to Hokodo. We pay the Suppliers upfront, so they don’t have to wait.

Why do I need Sellar Credit?

Sellar Credit gives you instant access to up to 60 days payment terms with every Supplier on Sellar. That means no account forms for each Supplier and one simple monthly payment instead of many. It’s designed to help cash flow and save you admin time.

How much does it cost?

Sellar Credit is completely free to use. There are no fees or interest charges.

Am I eligible for Sellar Credit?

Sellar Credit is available to UK-based Limited Companies and Sole Traders. Limited Companies can check their eligibility and credit limit directly in Sellar using any Sellar Credit banner. However your business is set up, we can guide you through onboarding.

What are the payment terms?

You get up to 60 days from the date of purchase. All orders from one month are due at the end of the following month. For example, any orders placed in July would be due by the end of August.

How do I pay for my Sellar Credit orders?

At the end of each month, you’ll get a statement with all your orders. You’ll pay Hokodo (by direct debit or BACS), and they’ll handle paying the Suppliers. You’ll still find all your invoices in Sellar and can track everything in your Sellar Credit tab.

How often will I receive a statement?

You’ll receive a statement at the end of each month. It brings together all your orders from that month in one clear summary. Hokodo will email this over but you can see the breakdown and payment details in the Sellar Credit tab.

How do I sign up?

You can sign up directly in Sellar by clicking on any Sellar Credit banner. A Company Director will just need to complete a quick ID check. The whole process takes about five minutes, and your credit will be ready to use straight away.

How do I add orders to my Sellar Credit tab?

Just look for the Sellar Credit logo on a Supplier’s Storefront. At checkout, select Sellar Credit as your payment option and your order will automatically be added to your tab.

Can I control who can see and use Sellar Credit?

Yes. You decide which users can access Sellar Credit at checkout and view the balance. You can also share the balance across multiple venues in Sellar. You can control this in your Sellar Credit Settings
