Transfer Times

Let’s talk about how fast money moves in and out of your Pods.

Because every Pod is a real checking account (powered by Thread Bank), transfers are fast, predictable, and bank-grade.

Incoming Transfers

How fast money arrives depends on where it’s coming from:

  • From Sequence (Pod or Income Source) to a Pod:
    Instant
Whether it’s another Pod or an Income Source, the transfer happens in real time.
These are all Thread accounts under the hood, so it's just a direct ledger move.

  • From an external bank account to a Pod:
    2–3 business days
Standard ACH timing. You can always schedule or automate these.

Outgoing Transfers

  • To an external bank account from a Pod:
    Same-day ACH
Most transfers arrive same-day if sent before cutoff (which is about 1–3 hours).

  • To another Pod or Income Source from a Pod
    Instant
    Sequence-internal transfers are real-time.

Why so fast?

Since every Pod is a real Thread Bank account that Sequence has control over, you're not waiting on external bank batching, verifications or third-party delays.

You get true checking account performance, without needing to manage multiple banking apps.

Transfer funds immediately

In a last-minute situation where you need money to move right away, you can create a one-time transfer.

This lets you manually move funds without setting up an automation.

Good to know

  • One-time transfers are non-automated

  • Transfer timing follows the same guidelines outlined above

  • You’ll see the transfer status in your activity log, just like any other move

You know how fast transfers are — now let’s make them automatic.
