Sometimes you want to double-check your logic before letting a rule run for real.
That’s where simulations come in.
Running a simulation is a great way to make sure your rules behave exactly how you expect.
Why Run a Simulation?
Simulations let you test your rules without moving real money.
You can:
Try out different scenarios of incoming funds
Adjust balances in certain accounts
See what Sequence would do with your rules in place
It’s the safest way to confirm your automations are set up correctly before they go live.
How to Run a Simulation
Open the Rule panel for the rule you want to test.
Scroll up and click the beaker icon in the top bar.
Enter the test scenario you’d like to simulate (incoming funds, balances, etc.).
Watch how Sequence applies your triggers, conditions, and actions in real time.
Then, have fun experimenting — tweak different values and see how your rules respond.
Next, we’ll look at Transfer Times — so you’ll know exactly how long it takes for money to move between different types of accounts in Sequence.
