The Totals page brings together the earnings, hours and other information you’ve recorded in ServerLife. Use it to review a specific period, view averages, see how your earnings add up over time and compare different parts of your work.
Choose a date range
Open Totals and choose Week, Pay, Month, Year or Custom using the buttons below the displayed dates. You can also choose these options within the Date Range screen.
Use the left and right arrows beside the dates to move backward or forward through the selected periods.
To choose specific dates or set up a comparison, tap the displayed date range to open Date Range. Select one of the available date options, or choose Custom to enter start and end dates.
With Premium, turn on Compare to to compare your selected dates with another period. The comparison options depend on the period you select—for example, last week, previous month or previous year.
Tap Save to apply your choices.
View a Pay Period
Choose Pay in the date range selector to view earnings within a configured Pay Period. All users can set up one default Pay Period. With Premium, you can set a separate Pay Period for each job. Jobs with the same pay schedule can be viewed together.
If you haven’t configured a Pay Period, tap Set up. To review dates without setting up a Pay Period, choose Custom.
For setup instructions and help comparing your recorded earnings with your pay stub, see How to use Pay Periods.
Explore the different views
Use the tabs across the top to change how you view the selected period:
Totals: Shows recorded amounts and a chart for the period.
To Date: Shows how amounts accumulate over the period.
Averages: Shows daily averages. Premium adds weekly and monthly averages.
Compare: With Premium, compare earnings across jobs, positions, shift types or sections.
In Totals, To Date and Averages, tap a metric under Earnings, such as Take Home or Hours, to view it in the chart. Expand the other summary cards below to review additional information you track.
With Basic, only the Earnings chart is available. Premium adds other chart sections and metrics based on the fields you track.
For more about the graphs, see How to understand your earnings charts. For comparisons, see How to compare earnings by job or position.
Filter what you see
Tap the filter icon in the top-right corner to choose whether to include shifts, paychecks or both, and whether expenses reduce the displayed totals.
With Premium, you can also narrow results by Job, Position, Shift Type or Section and use advanced filters.
Tap Apply Filter to see the results. Filtering changes what’s displayed without changing your recorded information.
