Open Totals at the bottom of ServerLife to explore the information you’ve recorded. Depending on what you track, you may see sections for earnings, covers, tip performance, mileage, deliveries or expenses.
With Basic, only the Earnings chart is available. Premium adds other chart sections and metrics based on what you track, comparisons between periods and work details, and weekly and monthly averages.
Choose a metric
Each section has metric cards above its chart. Swipe across the cards to see more options, then tap one to change what the chart shows.
The fields enabled under More → Preferences → What you track determine which sections and metrics are available. For example, turning on Sales total makes Tip Performance available.
What the charts show
The chart below each group of metric cards displays the metric you’ve selected.
Totals shows how the selected metric varies across your chosen period.
To Date shows a running total, so you can see how the selected metric builds across the period.
Averages shows the selected metric’s average for each day of the week within your chosen period. The Daily, Weekly and Monthly options change the averages in the metric cards, but the chart remains grouped by day of the week.
Compare periods
Available with ServerLife Premium. Tap the displayed date range near the top of Totals, turn on Compare to and choose a comparison period. Tap Save.
The solid line represents the selected period, and the dashed line represents the comparison period. Tap a point on the chart to see both values and their percentage difference.
On Totals and To Date, the large number in a metric card shows its value for the selected period. The smaller amount and percentage show how much it changed from the comparison period.
An upward arrow means the value increased; a downward arrow means it decreased. Whether a change is helpful depends on the metric you’re viewing.
Understand your averages
On Averages, the large number is an average rather than the period’s total. Daily averages are available with Basic. With Premium, choose an average timeframe — Daily, Weekly or Monthly — to change the averages shown in the metric cards.
The daily average uses the days you worked during the selected period, rather than every calendar day. For example, if you worked five days in a seven-day period, ServerLife calculates the daily average using five days, not seven.
