Step 1: Prepare Your Monnit Hub
Before setting up your sensors, you need to set up the Monnit Hub:
Unbox the Monnit Hub and all its components:
1x Hub unit
1x Power cable
2x Aerials
Connect the power cable to the DC-24 port. The lights will blink, indicating the hub is powered on.
Attach the two aerials securely and position them at a 90º angle.
Important: The hub is pre-configured with a SIM card for internet connectivity. Do not remove the LAN port cover or attempt to connect the hub via a router.
Step 2: Set Up Your Monnit Sensor
Your Monnit sensor arrives without the battery installed. To turn it on:
Unbox the Monnit Sensor unit.
Use a screwdriver to remove the single screw on the sensor cover.
Insert the battery into the slot, ensuring correct battery placement (+ and -).
Secure the sensor cover back in place using the screws.
Step 3: Connect Your Monnit Sensor to ComplyFood
This is possible for Tablet Manager, Managers, Admins and Internal Auditors
To connect your Monnit Sensor, follow these steps:
Log into the Mobile App.
Tap the Menu icon in the top left corner.
Select Equipment from the menu.
Tap the Edit icon next to the equipment item.
Select the three dots icon (top right-hand corner)
Tap "Add Sensor"
Sensor Onboarding
Follow the on-screen prompts.
Choose Scan QR Code.
This will open your camera. Scan the QR code on your Monnit Hardware.
If the QR Code scan fails:
Tap Skip to manual input.
Enter the ID and Security Code from your Monnit Sensor manually.
To Reassign Sensors to other pieces of equipment:
Log into the Admin Console
Navigate to the Equipment page
Add a new piece of equipment with the Green Plus Icon (or edit an existing item using the pencil icon)
Enter the Equipment Details
Category (E.G Refrigeration)
Equipment Name
Maintenance Information
Scroll down to Wireless Monitoring
Assign your Sensor ID
SAVE your changes
Step 4: Reporting On Sensor Readings:
To view your Sensor Readings:
Log into your Admin Console
Select the Dashboard
Select the Sensor tab
In the view, you should see your readings
Understanding your Readings
When viewing the sensor dashboard, the table displays:
The Sensor ID - this is displayed on the sensor unit
Equipment - This indicates what Item the sensor is assigned to
Hub ID - This indicates what hub the last temperature reading went through
Last Reading - Indicates when your last reading was received by ComplyFood (for healthy readings, it should be within 15 minutes)
Last Battery Voltage - Displays your battery health/strength
Last Temperature - Displays the most recent temperature received
Last Signal Strength (dBm) - Displays the most recent reading's strength. The higher the number the better.
Note: : Signal Strength is displayed as negative integers. -100 is Lower than -50. The higher the number, the better. Healthy ranges are usually around -120 to -50
